Came for dinner and deserts, the food was lovely and enjoyed the horoscope theme throughout. We visited on a Sunday and it’s worth noting that as it’s on a very busy street, service can be a bit slow but if you catch the waiters attention they’re happy to help! If you’re not a native speaker, it’s handy to have a translator app to hand as you’ll be able to read the horoscope accompanying your desert.

My husband and I visited this cafe as part of our holiday in Japan. Our hotel was walking distance from it. It attracted us from outside as you could see people having their meals by the window. Staff very welcoming. Waitresses walk around giving everyone iced water. Extensive ice cream menu that matches your star sign. I chose Libra just because I liked the ingredients of ice cream and fruits with corn flakes and cookies. My husband chose different one that came with liquid nitrogen steaming away in a beautiful way. The English breakfast tea came in 2 very cute star shaped blue and white tea pots. The view of the road crossing is spectacular. The price is naturally expensive as you are in the centre of Tokyo. I fully recommend it.

My friend and i went there agter having dinner. The place does not look good from outside, but i was surprised when i got in. The interior design was quite unique, it looks better at night. You can see one of the busiest steet in ikebukuro from the reastaurant. The dessert was good, and the protion was quite big as well. Oh, and you have to order at least one menu for each person.

Went there with GF. Wanted to share a single parfait between us. Was told that we each had to order a separate item. Wasn't interested in having two. Left.

We knew this would be an expensive stop for ice cream but found it even more so when they would not let us split a sundae/parfait. Expect every person in your group to be forced to purchase a $10+ item.

We came in the evening and got a table by the window looking out into the street. We had fantastic sundaes. The service was very good, efficient and polite, they spoke a bit of English. English menus are available. There is a fantastic selection of ice creams, hot and cold drinks and other treats. The restaurant is decorated in a wonderful space theme, so much fun. Food presentation is wonderful. Highly recommended.

I love the parfait with the sweet potatoe cream. The Café has parfaits with a zodiac theme. It was my second visit. I went in the evening and did not have to wait like the first time I went. There might be a queue.

When you cross the road near Sunshine City, this first floor café is almost certain to catch your eye. You do often have to wait for a table, but only for ten or fifteen minutes. The sandwiches, ice cream sundaes and drinks are all delicious and look magical (which fits in with the theme of the place!). I would recommend visiting for lunch or for a night-time dessert. My only real criticism is that when it is busy it is extremely noisy.

Cute themed café with big windows over-looking the street. We went for dinner but would recommend going mainly for dessert or a just a fancy drink as the food was average but the drinks were excellent. We got a table easily & it was a quiet environment. Charming cafe without going to the extreme with the theme & good friendly service.

- The cafe is a bit tricky to find, you have to find the sign on a building then go up some stairs to enter the café. + The café is surrounded by large windows that gives a great view of the surrounding areas, it was fun to watch all the students in uniform go home from school (there is a school nearby) in large groups and watch the passer-by while relaxing with a nice drink - The café's main rule is that you have to make one order per person sitting at the table, it's comprehensible because they don't want large groups taking chairs for nothing, but a little tricky if you're just accompanying someone to the cafe, as you will be gently pleased to order something by the waitress. What I really liked : the relaxing vibe of the coffee, the cute drinks (I really recommend the strawberry milkshake) and the Zodiac-sign themed drink, it's fun to get different drinks for each Zodiac signs. Overall it's a very cosy and relaxing place with great jazzy ambient music and definitely cute food and drinks !

This place is Tokyo through-and-through. It's wonderful. It's always jam-packed with kids (pretty much until closing) and the menu is profoundly unintelligible. The parfaits range from delicious to... confusing. But it's really fun and some of the combinations end up being surprisingly good: corn flakes and ice cream - who knew?. This is not a high-end eatery nor really a place where you'd want to get actual food. But if you're craving some awesome ice cream floats with some added confusion it's hard to find better. It's easy to find from the train station and open until like 11pm (last order is 10:30pm) then this place is perfect. Don't expect anything fancy but, to be honest, a week later and I'm already missing their floats.

We went out of our way (30 minutes each way) to eat at Milky Way Cafe, Totally not worth navigating the subway system just for the ice cream. If you're already in Ikebukuro, it'd be a fine stop, but don't go out of your way to eat there. Sundaes were cute, but I can find similar things at other restaurants.

We liked the Milky Way Cafe so much we went twice! Its not cheap but so worth it. The desserts are fantastic but on our second visit we had the BLT & Chicken Teriyaki sandwiches first and they were also top-notch. English only speakers might struggle and there was no english menu so lots of pointing and gesturing. Also, if you sit you have to order, our son didn't want a dessert but had to have one or couldn't sit with us which we found to be a bit weird. It was very busy for our second visit and we had to put our name down on the list inside the door and wait to be called it but it only took about 15 minutes. We also went to Ice Cream City and Tokyo Dessert Republic and were disappointed with both, Milky Way Cafe was FAR superior!!

This is a really nice place to enjoy a good ice cream with friends. The location is really refined and near the station. The main theme is galaxy and zodiac signs, I had a 'Capricorn' parfait and it was delicious. My friend also ordered some sandwitches and they looked good. I really recommend to take a visit!

As a tourist, this galaxy-themed cafe is one of my favorite places to just relax and enjoy Tokyo. Located just outside of Ikebukuro Station (which is one of the largest and busiest), the massive windows show a beautiful and exciting view of the city just a few floors below you. The location really just couldn't be better. The dishes here are all pretty expensive - you're paying for the location of the restaurant as well as the dishes' bizarre presentations. Every topping on the ice creams are cut into the shapes of stars or other space themes, and they play a lot with different textures that are unexpected for westerners. For example, my friend ordered a parfait on a block of dry ice that steamed all over our table as he ate it. But it's just so Japanese in here - a little weird and unique, but just plain good. If you don't mind spending a bit more for ice cream then you would elsewhere, then I highly recommend stopping by this place. It's somewhere you'll take pictures of and tell people about when you get back home, and it's a cool place to relax after a day of walking the city.

Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
