What a great little place over the main highway by the Shinjuku hotels. Not posh but food is really good and beer too. Spent my last two hours waiting for my bus to the airport so very handy and they deliver what I wanted which was a good wood oven pizza and a few beers. Service was also excellent and... More

Sat down at the table and staff placed parmesan cheese in front of us. Didn't think much of it, so ordered pizza and pasta dishes. Was quick and prompt. Food was great. When the bill arrived an extra ¥200 per person was added to the bill. Waitress stated the charge is customary for Italian restaurants in Japan to charge for... More

Located on the 47th floor of the Mori Tower with a direct view of the Tokyo Tower, Salvatore Cuomo provides the total Italian fine dinning experience. With lovely music in the lounge, and an open kitchen, the restaurant is is very attractive and comfortable. The service was top notch and ever present but not overbearing at all. The wine and... I know, pizza in Japan! But when you have hungry teenagers & a craving, you go with what you know works!. Found this place from other TripAdvisor reviews & definitely lived up to expectations. Pizza choices were spot on and the pizza was fantastic. Pasta & salads not bad either. Could tell the Italian family history in the food and... More

We wandered into this place on a rainy evening. The cocktails were awesome. We ordered simple garlic bread, a salad and a pizza. Everything was well presented and served very promptly. There is a modern classy feel to the decor. Ambiance was good.

Having been here once before a couple of years ago and enjoyed a really nice meal, we took our family there expecting to have a nice night. What a disappointment, the pizzas we had were terrible, too much sauce, which had very little taste, and not much in the way of topping. We ordered 2 servings of garlic toast, the... More

I was invited by my lovely Japanese host that thought that taking me to a non Japanese restaurant was going to be a treat for me. Having said that, the place was still lovely. I was amused by the menu: very Japanese version it had many different small dishes in unusual order for an Italian : soup followed by pizza... More

The pizza here is great overall! It's a shame the service was so bad, seriously near the worst I have had. We waited 20 minutes from when we got sat before anyone came up to us to take our order, and the only reason the waiter came back was because another guest got up and got them (they too were... I'm not one to pick on the staff for not speaking my language, but in this case, we seemed to have more than our fair share of communication problems which led to really terrible service. We ordered 3 pies along with a couple of salads and a steak for my son (which was prominently featured as a special). Pizzas showed... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
