It's my first time in Tokyo and Yasaiyamei was recommended by a friend. I was thrilled when then they knew what GF meant, and they swapped a gluten item of my fixed lunch for fresh carrot juice without me having to ask. They even had GF soy sauce! The food was beautiful and fresh, and the service was lovely.

This restaurant focuses on seasonally vegetables. One of the few in Tokyo who do. Select your size course and you will be brought many small sophisticated dishes. This is not an all vegetarian restaurant, they just happen to understand that doing conscious cuisine well is one mark of a talented chef. We visit every year.

Yasaiya Mei is located on the 3F of the sleek, high-end designer mall ~ Omotesando Hills. Even though Yasai Mei rubs shoulders with brand luxury boutiques, it maintains its friendly & efficient service, affordable prices & serves local dishes that have been prepared with imagination & a lot of care. The menu revolves around vegetables, of which you will see... More

表参道ヒルズでランチ。1500円の野菜たっぷりカレーはまろやかで とても美味しかった。 手堅いサービス。おなじビル内のもうひとつの野菜バーより 居心地はよくオススメだ。 If you are a vegan or vegetarian, this is the right choice in Omotesando Hills. You can have lunch around 1500 Yen. The food is very good with a wide variety of organic vegetables from their contracted farm.

We went there as a couple for a date night out. My wife is vegetarian so we looked for vegetarian places: This one was highly recommended, and although it's not truly vegetarian (lots of fish and meat and fish sauce and stuff), it was amazing! The best thing we had was the salad, we don't remember what it was called... More

This restaurant is mentioned on many blogs as vegetarian or even vegan and even some of the reviews here mention that. They either have no understanding of vegetarian food is, or they simply see vegetable photos and mockups in the restaurant and assume it's vegetarian. Had they cared enough to ask, like I did, they would have been told that... More

In the nice setting and with view to busy street, menu was very attractive with choices for vegetarian and non vegetarian. We managed to order as staff had limited English to communicate. Foods was tasty and delicious but it took a long time to reach us after ordering and with long gap in between appetizer and main. However, we were... More

I was attracted by the posters on the ground floor as I was looking for something healthy. The restaurant is on the third floor, queued for about ten minutes before getting a seat. I ordered their Early Summer Imperial Set which costed about 2149 yen (with tax). The service was great, a hot towel was served with water. The ambience... More

The moment we entered this restaurant, we love the ambience so much. We were seated on the counter area where we can see the chefs preparing the dishes with nice lighting. We ordered the specialty salad with warm sauce. We were awed by the appearance of this salad, looked like a flower arrangement in a vase. The waiter told us... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
