Maybe it is wrong to eat italian food during a short stay in Tokyo, but a collegue really wanted to try this place. Food and wine was good and affordable, but it's a really busy place, packed with people. Sort of a bistro style with bar tables. Fun place to go after meetings, not if you want to enjoy a relaxed... A word of caution before you read this. We had found this restaurant and its reviews on tripadvisor. The reviews appealed to us, so we planned to have a dinner there. Tried calling them for a reservation half a dozen times at various moments throughout the day, but no luck, they do not answer the phone, any time of day... More

We found this restaurant due to the proximity to our hotel and Shimbashi station. It has a cozy atmosphere with a few tables and some standing room high top tables. We ended up standing at the back counter and had a lot of fun watching the chefs prepare the meals in the open kitchen. While there is the traditional Italian... More

New type of restaurant that is becoming popular in Tokyo. Sort of high end Italian food, in a crowded standing only setting. The standing part allows the restaurant to put more customers in and ushers them out more quickly as they are standing. But they also offer very good food and wine at a very reasonable price. I would recommend... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
