Taken here by a friend who works nearby, we sampled a broad cross section of the Kurosawa's specialties. It all tasted excellent - from the tofu custards to fried miso, tempura vegetables, seaweed and cold noodles to finish. We had a small private room to ourselves and the service was friendly and efficient on a busy night.

A great ponzu salad starter with crab followed by a pork cutlet, warmed taste buds for the main course of Curried Udon. I had mine with ribs, it was excellent and the shrimp curried Udon looked even better. A cold beer and some Sake topped off the meal. One could consider a second bowl of Udon in e same seating,... If you looking for haute cuisine then this wouldn't be your cup of tea. Judging by some of the comments therefore perhaps there was an expectation gap. Straight forward and honest, down to earth curried udon restaurant that is inexpensive but offer really good "comfort" style food with no pretentions. Our local given it's a short walk from home in... More

My first time having curry Udon. Loved the decor, service and the food was to die for. A bit of a walk from the station but definitely worth it. Never had pork so tender and cooked to perfection.

a beautiful old room, owned by the son of Akira Kurosawa, serves delicious udon (we had the duck and the curry udons). The Menchi katsu is the best in Tokyo. ( a ground meat croquette).

Located on trendy Azabu Street in Roppongi, this is fine restaurant serving mostly locals enthusiastically slurping delicious udon. An English menu is available. Try the lip-smacking appetizers. Comfort food par excellence.

Poor service and poor food - don't go. We had a junior teppanyaki chef serving us, and he burnt the foie gras and vegetables. We had to send it back. Not sure if it was because we were foreigners when we booked, but it was terribly disappointing. This was easily the worst food experience I've had in Tokyo -- especially... More

Excellent Teppan Yaki in the heart of Tsukiji. Pricey, but most good Teppan is. The setting is an old Japanese house from 1927. You'll love the food and the old house. Cool detail: the name comes from Akira Kurosawa, famous Japanese movie director. His momentos/photos can be found throughout the house.
