This is a trendy Japanese eatery (washoku) about 10 minutes walking from Azabujuban Station in the direction of Meguro. It is on a small street that runs parallel to SakuradaDori. This is a basement restaurant, generally not a plus for me, but it is spacious, high-ceilinged, and well-appointed, nice wooden tables and furnishings. Reservations are taken and get filled up... I love this place. They offer great soba (try "kurumi soba" - soba with walnut sauce which they are famous for). I actually prefer their restaurant in Aoyama, Omotesando, but could not find the link.. You must try their sashimi and appetizers as well, and wait to have soba until the very end. The restaurant is open until late (I... More

As a visitor to Tokyo / Japan it can be a bit daunting working out which restaurant to go to. This restaurant provides quite a variety of different dishes, all of which were great. Menus including English were a great help. A group of us shared various items including: v variety of tofu, sashimi, wonderful beef with lotus fruit, fried... More

Great Soba place with a nice athmosphere to enjoy lunch or dinner. Later afternoon works to as they don't close between later afternoon and evening. They have a good selection of Sake and local Red and White Wine. Friendly service, nice selection of appetizers and delicious Soba (Japanese buckwheat noodles). Azabujuban is a nice area to walk around too.

My mouth waters for this place. Amazing noodles (get soba with walnut dipping sauce) and interesting japanese appetizers like the japanese raddish was great. I came here because of a recommendation from a japanese friend. It was a little hard to find but well worth the search! I wish i had more nights in tokyo to spend here!
