We were guests at the hotel and decided to eat in one night. The set menu for two was close to 40000 yen (ouch) and that was with a hotel guest discount and no alcohol.

We enjoy the Japanese steak. A dinner set in expensive but the hotel guests get some discount. The beef is better than American beef. And the service is very good. A young handsome chef can speak English.
The Katsura meat restaurant was expensive but well worth a visit. The food and the staff were outstanding. The food is well presented and is prepared at your table. I recommend a set menu.
