Simple, tasty, fun! The food and service were great. Simple menu—two meat options—so we chose one of each. To be honest I think I liked the leaner meat option but both were very good.

This Tonkatsu restaurant near Meguro Station is wonderful. It’s an institution that has been operating for more than 40 years. There is usually a queue but you sit on seats at the side and it doesn’t take long to be seated at the serving bench....More

Lovely little restaurant tucked away. Very crowded but feels relaxed. The staff miraculously dressed completely in white run a tight ship. You really have a choice of fatty tonkatsu or lean tonkatsu. It comes with unlimited shredded cabbage, miso, rice and these terrific pickles. It...More

If you want to have a taste of an amazing tonkatsu, you are in the right place. Tonki is very famous in Tokyo so there is always people queuing to enter, please be patient and you will be rewarded with the awesome meal. You won't...More

Loved sitting at the bar here and watching the guys wheel out portion after portion of Tonkatsu. Apparently this place opened in 1939, and it looked like one of the chefs may well have been here since then, but despite his advanced years he masterfully...More

...this place epitomizes it! A family-run tonkatsu specialist for 60 years, it's menu basically has only three choices - filet, roast (loin) or kushikatsu (skewers with onion) dinner sets. But just sit at the counter and watch efficiency, teamwork and precision choreography at work, as...More

The food here smelt and looked amazing and I'm sure it tasted fantastic. Was very excited to try it and happy to wait as long as it took. The only problem is that many people who came in after us were seated and fed before...More

Every time I visit Tokyo, I always go here. And every time I go, it's always crowded but turnover is very quick. Food is Tonkatsu (pork cutlet), and quality is always good. You can have as many refills on cabbage, rice and tonjiru (pork based...More

It's not trendy and don't expect a big menu with lots of gourmet dishes. It's plain and simple and it serves fried pork in three different ways. The sidings are the same no matter the type of pork you choose. And yet, it's its simplicity,...More

No idea why this place is popular, tonkatsu is good but somehow different from the usual tonkatsu, this comes from the crust around. Service is just ok, cabbage refill is possible, but rice is not. I would definitely recommend to visit another place nearby :...More
