o.k food, expensive for what you get and a bit cold service... We did not order so much, since service was a bit on the cold-side and prices were not cheap. We asked the bill and moved to another restaurant in the area.

I'd been before 4 years ago and was quite underwhelmed, in the izakaya bit. This time we went for sushi with colleagues on a Sunday evening after struggling to find somewhere that we all could agree on (and before hitting Yurakucho for something a little more rustic under the railway arches, fantastic). The sushi and sashimi was genuinely excellent, especially... More

If you want to enjoy Japanese Izakaya style restaurant, this is a good one. You can eat Sushi, Sashimi, yakitori and soba noodle etc. In terms of inside space, Nishiazabu store is wide and nice.

We popped in after nearby shopping in Ginza, it was early evening to the venue was maybe only 40% full. The menu has lots of options ranging from skewers to main meals. We went for the recommended boneless chicken, chicken thigh and chicken skin along with some tempura and the egg fried rice and miso. The food was very nice... More

Took out a group of seven for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant offers a wide selection of Japanese food, including edamame, karage, sushi, yakitori, tempura, gyoza pizza, soba as well as bagna cauda - plus of course lots of drinks. I know many think this place is just for tourists, and there are quite a few, but I... More

Went there randomly, looking for a good sushi meal. Wasn't disappointed. Chef Daiki-san cooked in fornt of me the freshest and best sushi I ever had. Including eels, salmon and urchin. Great to be able to chat with the Chef and taking time to discover Japanese culture through food. The interior design of the place looks nicely traditional. They have... More

The food at Gonpachi was excellent to during a business visit last week. The yakitori was incredible, the beer was cold, the tempura was perfect - would definitely return. Thank you!

This restaurant is made for tourists, which is why we hated it! Food was uninteresting, over cooked, salty and slathered in grease...so different from the more authentic, local restaurants in Tokyo. We felt rushed in and out - save your money for a better experience elsewhere!

Cool place for dinner when you want Japanese but want something the kids also like. When you sit down its like an outside marker but it has air conditioning. The sushi bar is also a nice place to sit.
