I loved the restaurant. There are only tables for 4-6 so if you are solo or couple you will share a table if the restaurant is full, which is fun. The soba is good and very fresh. The prices are good. I had the cold...More

This place is incredible. The soba noodle was fantastic, along with their side dishes! A must to visit when in Tokyo!

We visited based on trip advisor ratings. It was a very cozy spot with fantastic udon. The servers were very patient and made great recommendations given our limited Japanese. Food was great and I would highly recommend.

When I was 8 years-old, my parents took me to Kanda Matsuya for soba. It was one of my fondest memories of that trip. Yesterday, nearly fifty years later, we took our daughter to Matsuya. It was every bit as good as I remember it....More

The appearances of this restaurant already demonstrates something different from ubiquitous competitors in Tokyo, it's very old and supposed to be one of the best. We ordered kamaboko (cold fishcake) and yakitori(grilled pieces of chicken) for starter to go along with beer and had a...More
