Brilliant find a couple of months ago, can't stay ever since. Every time the service is always very friendly and welcoming. The coffee and food has always been perfect. Its great to also be able to take our puppy in the bar area and sit next to the fire.

We decided on Saturday night to go out for lunch on Sunday and thought of The Royal Oak at North Gorley. It must be some years since going there despite it being relatively near us. We booked a table on Saturday night for four of us and arrived on the Sunday lunchtime. We were very pleasantly surprised at the really... More

Went here for lunch yesterday-2 adults and 2 children.Must say the menu was very good-usual pub dishes but high quality. The venison burger was excellent. The children shared a gammon steak and the staff were king enough to provide a second dressed play with an extra egg on it. Landlord bitter drinking we'll. Recommend a visit as this place is a cut... More

My husband and I found this place by accident and so glad we did! We returned a few weeks later with our friends and we had the most amazing meal. Three of us had the beef pie which was a pie not one of those pastry top things, the flavour and presentation was outstanding. A great pub and very friendly.

We were recommended by our hosts to dine here and were pleasantly surprised. The exquisite decor accompanied by friendly staff made our last night very memorable indeed. I had ordered rump of lamb with an array of red cabbage and roast potatoes. My partner had the venison burger. My rump of lamb was mouth-wateringly tasty. And my partner thoroughly enjoyed... More

With all our Xmas preparations done, we had a day free on Christmas Eve. Thought we would take one of our favourite drives into the New Forest and have a late brunch. Something told me I ought to check if our favourite farm shop/restaurant would be open and so I phoned to be told they would be closing at 1.30pm.... More

What ho,...................... and what a night! Our second Christmas staff party at The Royal Oak and Ronnie and her team put on a really excellent evening for us. We were warmly greeted as always into this most welcoming of forest pubs. The Christmas menu meal was really very good, compliments to the chef and the kitchen staff, each course was... More
