We went for the 20€ lunchtime menu. There’s a lot of choice so it was hard to choose! We went for the croquetas trio and the aubergine chips with salmorejo. Then we had fideuá pescador as a main which was delicious - the portions are...HUGE so make sure you’ve worked up an appetite beforehand! Dessert was torrijas (a bit like French toast, but BETTER) and lemon and cava sorbet. A really good deal, fast and pleasant service, tasty food and slightly off the beaten tourist track.More

First visit to Arruz. Great service from the moment I entered the restaurant. They offer a selection of "menu del dia" and "a la carte" options. I sat at the bar and the waitress was most kind. She helped out with recommendations while being polite....Food was very good. I had a Paella with cold cuts and potatoes which was a new thing for me. Combination of good service and good food does the trick for me. I'll definitely recommend it.More

L' Arruzz is famous of its rice dishes, arroces. This time, evening menu was not arroz. We tried Ensalada de Tomate Kumato, Patatas bravas, Croquetones de bacalao, Alcachofas crujientes and Rodaballo. Every dish was perfect. So attentive service and quality restaurant.

Looking to finish up a trip to Alicante with the local speciality and looking late at night we found L’arruzz. The front bar area was open but we managed to get a table in the restaurant at the back. The staff were very helpful once...we had found our table and helped us with Spanish and English menus and even helped with a few tapas recommendations. There was, as expected, a large selection of rice dishes and we chose Arroz a Banda. This was a great fishy local rice specialty and perfectly rounded off the week.More

Looking for good Paella or Arroz meloso in Alicante. This is the region of rice dishes. L' Arruzz was a nice find. Delicious chickpea, artichoke paella. Also the starter, small crujiente rice was excellent. Relaxing atmosphere and good service. Not so touristic!

The place opens for lunch starting at 2 p.m. Reservation is recommended. If one opts for tapas instead, one could eat downstairs on the ground floor where no reservation is needed. We ordered from the menu of the day which, at 16.95 euros, includes an...appetizer, a main course, dessert, and a drink (wine or beer). The choices were many. The quality of the dishes was a notch up compared to other restaurants in the area. We all were so full after lunch we skipped dinner. Definitely worth a visit!More

This restaurant is one of the few I know that does individual paella. We go regularly and always enjoy great food at very good value. You can go to the upstairs restaurant, downstairs do a cheaper menu del día, or you can sit at the...bar for tapas or menus. All round it’s always busy. Service isn’t the best, because it’s so busy, but we still go back, so it’s not bad enough to keep us away.More

We chose this restaurant after looking at their T.A. reviews. I can honestly say that the entrecote peppered steak was the worst steak we have had anywhere ever, and we have travelled widely and eaten many steaks, over the years, including some poor quality French...ones. It was tough and full of sinew and fat. My wife was unable to cut into it. Foolishly because I don't really like complaining I encouraged her to persist as I did. This was a mistake as we eventually had to give up when my wife could stomach it no more and rushed to the toilet feeling nauseous It was not pleasant eating. We had looked forward to a nice evening with good food and wine, but unfortunately we cut short our meal and left the restaurant. The positives: The staff were pleasant. The cost of the steaks were removed from our bill, but I would not have paid for them anyway! Due to having bad meals on holiday, we had a pact that if we ever received a bad meal we would call the waiter over, pay for what we had and leave. My wife indicated right from the beginning how the steak was really poor quality. I just wish I had the guts to follow through on our pact. I am not a natural complainer and always so slow to act. I will have to try harder!More

The starters and Main was like OK – But what let us really down was the dessert – Sorbet with caramel sauce – Served in a glass with only partly small parts half frozen – More like a "drink" ! ! ! When we complaint,...it was the standard Spanish style – The Sorbet should be like that here !? Please, avoid this tourist place...More
