We had a paella marisco and it was the worst paella we had in Spain. Nothing of the sea fruits were fresh and it was not crispy baked from downside. We also ordered baby squids but they brought us fried calamari which were very gummy,...I suppose also a few days old. The prices are really high regarding the quality and interior.More

We Googled a location for a nearby restaurant whilst strolling around the outskirts of Alicante, and was lucky enough to find Dhammas. The greeting from the members of staff, when we entered the restaurant, and the service all evening was excellent and faultless. We both...ordered a different paella each which was cooked freshly and shown to us, by the waiter, to ensure it met our approval prior to being served. They were of excellent taste , quality and portion size. . The homemade deserts were also of the highest taste and quality. The beer was cold and refreshing and the Russian vodkas ordered by my girlfriend were poured generously. The whole evening was excellent and most enjoyable and the price of the food and drinks were a bargain for the quality provided. This restaurant is a must for anyone visiting AlicanteMore

We had dinner there on Saturday night and were absolutely delighted. The quality of the food was excellent and our waiter was really attentive at all times. We really felt comfortable, as if we were regulars. Would definitely keep this place on my list as...place to eat in on next trip to Alicante.More

I frequently visit this restaurant with friends , family and clients, and it is always excellent. All of the ingredients are fresh, the staff are friendly and attentive and are willing to help out if you have an allergy. I really couldnt recommend this place...highly enough and it is never noisy, unlike the majority of eateries in Alicante.More

I visited this restaurant during an enforced extension of my Spanish holiday in July 2016. I lost my passport and had to spend an additional weekend in Spain. This restaurant was recommended by the receptionist at the hotel I was staying at. I was not...disappointed. I visited for lunch. I had one server the whole time. He was extremely attentive and friendly despite our language barrier. For my main course I opted for the chicken paella.it was superb. Served hot in its own paellera. The meat was tender and the rice to die for. I love paella and was surprised that this one did not contain the usual socarrat at the bottom. Apparently this is the traditional way of cooking paella in Alicante. My meal was washed down with a very good local Rioja, which was suggested by my waiter. The staff were fantastic, especially as this place is visited by mainly Spanish locals. Service was quick and efficient. For a traditional taste if Spanish cuisine, this place is first class. Well worth a visit.More

We choose a lovely bottle of Alicante (local) wine. Choose too many tapas dishes which were all amazing (menu available in English). All very good and great value for money (about €20 each incl wine and water). Highly recommend.
