Went here midweek we got 2 pasta dishes and a pizza. Pasta dishes were mediocre and really dry. Disappoint considering the price. If I came here again I’d only get a pizza. Service was brilliant though real attentive.

The restaurant is ok and the staff is friendly. It was the food that let me down. For the money they charge I was expecting top quality food, this was not the case. I ordered the Catch of the Day which I now realise it...was a mistake considering it was Sunday (I think fishermen don't fish on Sundays...) but it raises the question why is there a "Catch of the Day" option in the menu if their fish was not caught on the day...?? The fish in question was a (white?) sole, it was dry and not fresh at all. It was accompanied by baby potatoes that tasted like they just had been unfrozen. The quantity was good but it was a very uninteresting dish and not worth the price. In fairness, my companions enjoyed their food. The burgers were huge but at €18 I felt they were overpriced. The restaurant has different atmospheres and while this may be the best Dunmore East has to offer maybe only the interior ground floor is closer to provide a "fine dining" experience: - Indoor is well decorated and has character. - Outdoor is more like a beach hut, lacks atmosphere (and ventilation!) but the views are nice. - Upstairs looked more like a tea room. We ate in the outdoor area. There was also a lady with a dog on the table behind us, while this did not upset us, I felt this was strange and something I did not expect to see in a restaurant. In summary, the location is great but there is room to improve particularly with the food.More

We came in at opening time and it was excellent. Everything cooked perfectly. It was all presented well and the service was perfect. Plus they let me in with my dog which is always a plus

Azzurro is a Mediterranean restaurant in dunmore east Waterford. Azzurro is a fine dining restaurant with delicious food. They always have great specials, amazing pizza and the best pasta dishes in the world! This is a great restaurant to bring kids as they have a...large kids menu. Su you are guaranteed to find something your little ones like to eat! Kids also get 2 free scoops of ice cream after their meal! There is a great atmosphere. The staff are all so friendly. Definitely top restaurant in Waterford.More

Unfortunately it was extremely disappointing. Staff as always extremely friendly, but the food let them down. The risotto was tasty but slightly undercooked. The pizza was a disaster, the base was raw and had to be sent back twice. We tried it again for lunch...a couple of weeks later and nothing had changed. I think give it a skip until the kitchen part gets sorted.More

A great dining experience starts with a warm welcome and that’s exactly what we got here. The staff were attentive from start to finish, moving tables to cater for our large group (which contained two more people than our original reservation). The waiter was so...lovely and friendly. I’m annoyed I didn’t get his name for a special shout-out. Everyone was delighted with their food too. This was a really special chilled out family meal. We hope to return soon as we can!More

We rounded off a fab week in Dunmore East with a trip to Azzurro it was an excellent experience from the moment we stepped in through the front door !! We were greeted by a very friendly young man who showed us to our table.... Tressa was our waitress she was excellent and very witty. My husband is coeliac and Tressa’s knowledge of the menu and his options were brilliant and she put him right at ease and me too if I’m honest . The gluten-free options are absolutely fantastic. All in all it was a memorable evening and we would have no hesitation in recommending Azzurro and we are looking forward to our next visit alreadyMore

Myself and two of my friends went for dinner last night and we had no complaints. The food, service and staff were all amazing! I got the penne toscana and it was delicious, then the salted caramel cheesecake for dessert - the nicest cheesecake I’ve...ever had! The waiting staff were all lovely and attentive! 10/10 would recommend and we will be back ☺️More

Rammed busy on the Augist bank holiday but was always accommodating for myself and two kids, finding us seats whenever we turned up. Food was great and the staff were great with the kids.

My boyfriend and I tried to get a table here tonight and understandably they were fully booked so we opted for a take away. We are both vegetarians. I got the vegan paella and he got a pasta dish. After a 25 minute wait we...finally got our food and as we were driving away I noticed the pasta had big chicken pieces in it. My boyfriend went back into the restaurant and was told they would replace it and when he said he didn’t want to wait the server said it would only take 5 minutes. Very surprised that it initially took 25 minutes to make but yet they could replace it in 5 minutes, he agreed as he didn’t want to cause any problems. So back at our camper, my boyfriend is eating the pasta and what does he find.. more chicken pieces (only smaller this time). Looks like they just took out the chicken and missed a few pieces and reheated it before giving it back to him. This restaurant has no respect for vegetarians!! Just to add to this, the take away portion sizes are laughable for the price you pay. Would not recommend!!!More

Enjoyed a super relaxing meal here after a day spent cycling ! Catch of the day was some of the freshest fish I’ve tasted in a while and pasta dish was mouthwatering ! really friendly and accommodating staff

We spent a day in Dunmore East and we stopped to have a meal in Azzurro restaurant . We had lovely food, highly recommend the Calamari. The service and professionalism of the staff was first class, definitely enhanced the dining experience. Highly recommend!
