Staff are fantastic! Very eager to please, make you comfortable and help you decide on the best eating options. Food was very fresh and well prepared. Not many options, but fish was very good and dish of the day also adds some variation. Restaurant is...part of their hotel, so it is in town, with air conditioning. Pricing was also very fair.More

Monteroni, a small town not far from Lecce, has very little to offer to visitors, unless you are searching for a "value-for-money" restaurant. Well, you have found it, at the Scacciapensieri. Good, well prepared food, a wine selection not so wide but with honest prices,...a quiet and elegant space where the tables are not so close that you'll dine listening to the conversations coming from the people around you! Take your time to exhange words with Andrea: he is a nice and competent guy, always smiling and ready to take care of you.More

It is an authentic Italian restaurant. Not pretentious, decoration is simple but nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful. And the food is very good! I normally eat there when I am in visit, working in the CNR Nanotechnology Institute.

Loved this restaurant. The service was outstanding and the fact they could speak English was a big bonus for us. Loved the different choices on the menu and the waiter advice was always spot on. Fantastic to be able to eat a take away pizza...at the restaurant tables and not be charged. Couldn't do that here in australia. They went out of their way to make a specially ordered dinner with rabbit which they sourced especially for us and wow it was wonderful. First time for my daughter and I to have rabbit done the traditional southern italian way. Delicious !!!!! A big thank you to all the staff there and accomodating me in my wheelchair. We were visiting there over a 3 month period from May to August this year.More
