Avoid this place, We had the doubtful pleasure to have a lunch there in January. HIgh prices for a misterious meal as there is no menu in the tratorria.

We dashed in from the rain and were lucky to choose this door because Al Vecchio Arco is one of those trattoria where you just have what the waiter brings you. He suggested to us what his wife and mother were cooking in the kitchen. He also suggested we share plates of food and that was perfect for a lunch... More

We had an adorable lunch here today. Beautiful fresh pasta with an incredibly rich ragu sauce. The local dish of sausage and rolls of meat on a skewer were divine. Simple, fresh and home made. Having read a review from an unadventurous tourist, I would advise you stick to the places that have photos of the food and leave these... More

If you want to be sure of a good meal and service, this is probably not for you. On the other hand, the food is genuine, and the gentleman serving tables does his best to be entertaining. The problem is that if you don't understand the language you can end up with something you don't want or like. I would... More

We were wandering around the town and decided to stop for a drink and a small bite to share. We saw the "Specials" on the board outside and the alley looked nice and cool. We asked the owner for a table for 2 - and he showed us through. When we sat down he asked us what drinks we wanted,... More

Visiting in early June and sitting outside for lunch under the shade of the archway, this was an overall delightful experience. Yes it is a very 'mom and pop' kind of operation - which I consider a significant positive attribute - and the cook turns out very good food and a home-made tiramisu to die for. It was hardly a... This is one of those rare occasions when I'm in complete disagreement with other TripAdvisor reviewers. Here we made a great mistake. Yes, the owner-waiter-son of chef is a character and does a great Basil Fawlty impression in a mixture of Italian and broken English. There's no written menu and no choice. One suspects the menu is the same every... More

We visited on a quiet Sunday but were warmly greeted by the owner who explained the days dishes. Very tasty homemade pasta and beef sausage under the quiet arch - welcome relief in the shade.

I stumbled onto this restaurant and am ever grateful for the experience. It is a family affair, son handling the customers, and mama and the son's wife managing the kitchen. The food was outstanding, pasta homemade. No written menu, all verbal. The family could not have been kinder. Later, my friends arrived and we shared coffee and tiramisu. Just the... More
