Close to our appartement we ran into the "Les Badammiers" occasionally. First we thought it had closed, as we were the only guests in the beginning and there were almost no lights on, but then the waitress appeared and led us to our table. The...views over the sea are stunning and the dishes are simple, but great. We got the "Samoussas" as appetizers, followed by typical local dishes like "Cari Poulet" (Chicken with a garlic and tomato sauce enriched with lots of herbs) and "Cari Poisson" (like the above just with fish), accompanied with rice and brown beans. We closed with two superb desserts: a tarte tatin with papayas and a petit gateau, both with a vanilla ice bowl on top. Simply great. With the main course at around 10€ and a dessert for 6€ we paid less than 40€ in total for a real amazing dinner. Don't miss to go there when in Petite Ile or nearby. Absolutely recommendable.More

It’s not a large restaurant blotted out from normal passers-by’s views. The decoration inside is rather scant not to say inexistent, and the tables are all covered with a yellow nape table cloth with motives allegorical to the Reunion Island. The cuisine Creole is the...only one offered at that restaurant and the dishes are good. I ate cod with tomato which as edible. One must imagine anyway that there are some other dishes on the menu which taste better. Since, as stated below, there is no written menu it's hard to remember the relevant dishes names. The staff consists of the owner himself and his wife. They are kind to some extent. The owner gets irritated owing to trifle issues such as an entreaty for him to introduce some changes in one of the courses on the menu. On such cases he sweats more than usually, which is not very pleasant to see. It must be said by the way that there is no written menu, or at least I didn’t see any copies thereof, but the courses are announced orally by the owner. As a matter of fact, despite the stated flaws having a meal in that restaurant entails a good experience.More

The food of this restaurant is homemade, even they don't have a written menu. They serve local products. In fact, the restaurant is located inside a house. They could speak a little english. The currys and the creme brulée are spectacular!

Small restaurant with many local guests and an authentic owner. Great food, large portions, cheap prices!
