This was our local back in the 1980's when we lived in the area. When we moved to the other side of the N11, it was no longer an easy stroll from our new home.
We dropped back for their carvery lunch this week. The place has not really changed since the 1980's, maybe some more tables and chairs.
The first thing that hit me was the heat in the pub. Stifling hot with nil ventilation. This brought back many memories from years gone by. I just do not know why they do not open a few windows to let some air circulate.
For the carvery, I had roast beef at a hefty €19 and my wife had the turkey at €18. My roast beef was dry and crisp, my wife said hers was very nice if a little dry also. I was handed a scalding hot plate that nearly burnt the fingers off me. No warning. I noticed that the server had a towel to protect his fingers. As my wife was walking to our table she nearly lost her meal as the plates were sliding around the tray. Thankfully her juggling skills saved the day.
It was nice to re-visit the old haunt, but I am not sure I will return. There was not much atmosphere in the place in more ways than one.

I have visited this pub three times to give it a fair review. Coffee, soup and then main on last visit.
Lunch menu is not extensive and poor fare for children.
Coffees for a group of eight was served by an older staff member with a slight attitude. Maybe she isn’t a morning person. There is no facility for a takeaway soup so I had it in the pub. Cauliflower soup with good bread. Pity chef didn’t string the celery before he added it to the pot. It was unpleasant to eat as I was continually removing tough strings of celery from my mouth.
Last visit was with my family, a baby and a 3yr old we sat in remote spot for everyone’s comfort.
Adults opted for turkey. Toddler asked for pasta, wasn’t available. Our meal was fine and plenty of it. Yorkshire puds were overcooked and inedible.
We sat down to our meal at 2.10pm you don’t hang around with two small tots. It’s eat and move on. So there was ABSOLUTELY no need for the same member of staff to place a reserved sign at our table to tell us that she wanted it for 4.45 that afternoon.
My daughter rarely comments on people’s behaviour but she was shocked at this. We won’t be rushing back.

I recently hosted a work social event at the Leopardstown Inn and were blown away by the exceptional service and accommodations. The reserved area was perfect for our group, and the food was delicious and catered to a variety of dietary needs. Aideen went above and beyond to ensure our experience was unforgettable. Despite our delayed arrival, she accommodated our food order and made sure everything was ready when we arrived. Her attention to detail and willingness to help were truly impressive.
We also appreciated the flexibility in accommodating our dietary needs, including gluten-free, plant-based, vegan, and vegetarian options. The drinks tokens were a thoughtful touch that made it easy for our team to enjoy the afternoon. We can't wait to return in the future!

We were looking forward to a night out and decided on dinner in the Lep Inn, where we have been customers for the past forty three years, living locally. Our table was reserved for 7 pm and the place was buzzy in the main lounge area.
We ordered pate to start, which was passable. My wife ordered Mussels which arrived without a bowl for the shells or a finger bowl. Noting the absence of brown bread that normally accompanies this dish she was offered rice or chips as they had no brown bread, toast was later provided. My choice was the humble fish and chips which I had been looking forward to. It arrived straight from the freezer which was obvious by its grey colour and solid texture. When I pointed this out to the waiting staff as a mater of feedback for the kitchen, her reply was "I'm very sorry" . We declined dessert and left. This is not the establishment is used to be when in previous hands. The staff have changed so many times with the exception senior bar management. But no feeling of welcome or friendliness. Just a conveyor belt attitude. Pity!

My partners Burger was soggy and cold didn’t eat any of it and it was just collected by waiter when done and nothing said. Booked table our for 5:30 and we’re being rushed off it by just after 7 as someone else had apparently booked it. Anytime previously here has been good but this time wasn’t

Were there service was so slow and our server wrote our order on her hand the steaks was over cooked , the hake also over cooked and the 3 prawns were cold and rubbery the sauce cold and greasey. The only good things were the chips and the scampi. The cheapest wine was 32 euros and the calamari were also cold. Although a local I will not be going back.
Really bad value.

I had eaten excellent dinners at the Lep Inn several times pre-Covid, The lunch offerings are still top notch, but dinner last night prompted me to write this less than positive review.
The quality of food and service was extremely poor. I ordered what was advertised as a 10 ounce sirloin steak and there was so much grizzle hidden beneath the pepper sauce I had trouble cutting it even with a steak knife. My partner's hake was good, but she had to drain the green vegetables and the sweet potato was inedible.
The waitress never once asked if we were satisfied with the meal or needed anything else, although she passed our table on several occasions. We were not offered dessert, or a refill of our empty house wine glasses. Ok, it may sound a bit fussy, but we were anything but demanding.
We will not be going back to the Lep Inn, even if it is the only restaurant in the area.

My daughter and her fiancé celebrated their engagement here on Saturday 02.11.2024. The service was fantastic, the staff extremely friendly, and the place was spotless. Many guests could not praise the food any more - it was gorgeous (platters of finger food). DJ came on in the latter part of the evening and was absolutely brilliant- played something for everyone. Couldn’t recommend The Lep enough. Fantastic night 😁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Truffle Parmesan fries Just barely ok. Parmesan barely existent, a big blob of truffle mayonnaise on top, no delicacy, turning the chips saggy.
And the most appalling Ramen I ever had in my life, completely raw veg, no seaweed as mentioned, noodles were whole grain spaghetti, but not the right noodles..bland.
Miso soy broth : no miso taste? Bland, not seasoned. Appalling bland. A full bulb of pak Choi, 🥬 barely poached with raw leaves. Huge mushroom not even cut. Not appealing.Bland!Bland Bland! Water soup with salad veg chopped on top like stir fry.. I tried my best to eat half to be more disappointed in every mouthful. Not presented or platted well, wrong plate, ramen is served in a bowl not a soup plate..Shame to Japanese cuisine. If you don’t know how to make it properly, don’t do it. No point to put a picture on.

My other half and I visited The Lep (as the locals call it) for dinner. We were shown to our seats in the back of the restaurant in what I can only describe as an old 'conservatory' with tables and chairs positioned close together, making it quite an intimate affair with those sitting at surrounding tables. It seemed to be where all couples were told to sit, although there was more of an atmosphere in the main part of the restaurant and bar.
Our order was taken in sufficient time, but it took a while for our meals to arrive. Portions were not overly generous and although the food was fine, it wasn't as tasty as other places.
I have to commend the live entertainment - the singer was fantastic!

The Lep Inn looks lovely, with some nice seating outdoors, and lovely indoor areas. The drinks selection is very good, and the serving staff were excellent. We came as a group of four friends, and ordered two burgers (which were reportedly very nice) and two Thai Style Salmons. The salmon had been recommended, so perhaps our expectations were too high, but neither serving seemed to be very good --- the fish didn't seem very fresh (not bad, just mediocre), and wasn't very tasty. Overall, we were underwhelmed.
Aside from the fish, we had a very pleasant evening, with excellent service, and very enjoyable drinks.
I'll probably come again, but will avoid the salmon.

I booked the Leop In for my daughters 21st several months ago. From the outset, I found the booking team very easy to deal with and incredibly accommodating for the many, many questions I had when making the booking!! The package for the 21st was very comprehensive with prosecco, finger food, balloons and DJ all included. The evening itself was an incredible night. The staff could not have been more helpful and everything went smoothly - the food was lovely and the decor in the room was great. Honestly I could not fault a single aspect of the night and my daughter had an amazing night with all her friends and family. I would specifically like to say a huge thank you to Monika who looked after us on the night - she was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much for a great night!

Went on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. Place was quiet. It was carvery. We were served very quickly and staff were friendly & attentive, however food was very average. Main dislike was roast potatoes were watery/ soapy and had a strange flavour. Overall meal was quite salty. Maybe their A La Carte is better.

Just visited to have burger and chips. Burgers were ok. Chips were overcooked, hard and pretty tasteless.
Had to ask twice for the bill and eventually go to the bar after 10 minutes wait in an almost empty restaurant. The waiter who eventually provided the bill gave the impression that he couldn’t see why the delay was unacceptable. In fact, his manner was one of sneering condescension, more concerned with his ponytail than with his customer!
No manager to be seen on the restaurant floor so no one to register a complaint with.
Recommend giving this place a miss until management sort out the standard of service provided!
