Tried this restaurant again while on holiday nearby. Once again great pub good, lots of choice and plenty of it - unusually most of us didn't have dessert! Easy to find just off the A68.

The meal was the usual Sunday Lunch and we all enjoyed it! nice pub if you like walking as there is a stile and if you go across it ,you can walk to Hadrian's Wall which is about 7 miles away.
We had the most amazing meal here on the trip home from our holiday. They have a huge selection including some specials. The children loved their spaghetti and meatballs and the husbands steak looked amazing. I would highly recommend you eat here if passing

We eat here regularly when travelling to Yorkshire. The food is excellent and the welcome & service cannot be faulted. The sandwich menu for lunch is varied and the portions are generous.
My friend and I hiking Hadrian's wall path stopped at this pub for lunch after 4 hours hiking in the rain. Despite being super busy, the girls behind the bar very kindly let us find room to sit and dry out a little and also...More
