Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have been in this restaurant on a number of occasions and every time we enjoy it. The breakfast menu is varied to suit all tastes but the large breakfast is quality. The owners and staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. We'll...be backMore

Stopped in here on way home from holidays, great food, very friendly staff and when our wee child told a waitress it was his birthday, the staff even sing happy birthday to him with a wee bun! Brilliant gesture

we only discovered the side street cafe on the last evening of our stay in cootehill . the choice of places to dine in cootehill is very limited ,and after 6 pm there is nowhere in the town centrs apart from a coupe of takeaways...that serves food . even though the side street cafe only serves to 6pm i think its owners should consider opening unti later in the evening -we met with a good few people who were looking for a place to dine and could not find anywhere in the town centre , it was one of these people who recommended the side street cafe to us as they had eaten lunch there the day before . we arrived in at 5.45 pm - not a problem - we were seated at a table in the 'parlour room ' a large bright and airy dinning room views onto the street , as it was nearing closing time we opted for a baked potato with tuna and sweetcorn filling and salad and a baked potato with bacon and cheese filling with salad -- the potatoes were HUGE - one could have fed us both -add to it a large fresh salad and 3 could have dined on one meal . the potato itself was perfectly cooked - light and fluffy centre with a skin that could be eaten - some places over cook the skin and make it like eating m.d.f. but these were perfect . the fillings were large and very tasty and the salad was very fresh and crisp -no ' limp leaves and soggy tomatoes ' here ! we had a pot of tea for two and even though it was gone 6.30 by the time we finished not once did any of the staff come to hurry us to leave - in fact the young lady who served us even asked if we would care for a dessert after our meal -- very reasonably priced and lovely friendly staff -we will certainly visit the side street cafe again .More
