Three of us stopped here for lunch on our way through. Despite being Sunday lunchtime we were able to get a table with a lovely view over the sea. We shared a large platter of mixed fish with roasted vegetables which was more than we...could eat. The fish were filleted in front of us and were perfectly cooked. The menu is almost predominantly seafood with vegetarian options. If you want meat you would need to look elsewhere. The service and cleanliness were excellent. We paid € 25 euros a head with water, bread, fries and a beer. Not the cheapest in Fuerteventura but if you want excellent fresh fish this restaurant would be hard to beat. There is a large terrace upstairs with excellent sea views. You would need to book to get a table.More

High energy and friendly customer service, superb fresh fish - we ate the fried fish one night and another night the fish paella. Both superb. Great harbour location and atmosphere. A little pricey but still worth going back.

We have been to Vaca a couple of times previously and it was fine. However on this occasion food was poor and service was poor. Starters: both dishes were lukewarm, would have complained but no servers available. Nobody asked if food was ok, so we...ate the starters. Main: had the mixed paella, asked for no rabbit (paella included rabbit). Dishes and glasses from starter were not taken away so piled them up on the wall where they stayed until dessert. Paella was lukewarm. Iron pan was cold so food cooled quickly. Again, no server available asking if food was ok. We had a plate each, picking out the rabbit left about half of the paella still in the pan. Some shells were empty. Taste was bland. Dessert: ordered an irish coffee which did not arrive. Two desserts were ok but server did not bring cutlery. Had to ask for cutlery and server jokes "you will have to eat with your hands". Had the starter or main or service been good we would have laughed. They werent. So we didnt laugh. La Cuenta: asked for bill and it came quickly enough. Straight away asked for card machine so we could pay and leave. Server walked to the kitchen, leant against the wall to read mobile phone. At this stage we had had enough. Left the table and paid at the front desk. To owner/manager: train your staff. We will not be back.More

La Vaca Azul has a splendid location and is massively popular but perhaps the rave reviews meant we were expecting too much of the place as we found it average at best. Whilst the fish soup was a good enough starter the house salad starter...was dry and uninteresting. Far worse was our main course, the fideuci, a paella using shorty pasta instead of rice, absolutely everything tasted the same - the only way to tell the octopus from the fish or even the pasta was by texture. Poor. The service was friendly but inefficient, meals arrived at different times and we were given three water glasses for four people – and after two requests to the waiter we still had three glasses for four people. To be fair, our friends enjoyed their salt baked fish - but it was no better than served elsewhere. We will not be going backMore

Just got a very nice place on the upper terrace, had a salad with goat cheese and a vino bianco de la casa. Perhaps a bit expensive, but the vibes and the view were amazing!

Okay, first thing to realise is that there is an upstairs terrace which we did not realise the first time we came in and booked a table although probably there would not have been an available table in any event because they are deservedly popular....Practically everything on the menu appealed; we settled for a paella which was very good although not the best I have ever had. The first bottle of wine we ordered was on a decline; I was impressed by the way the waiter immediately accepted my comment and provided us with a replacement which, to my relief was far, far better! In fact, the service is great, they seem to be enjoying their jobs and are very knowledgable We have already booked to return where we intend to get to grips with the variety of fresh fish on offer ( we did return and had some of the best sea bream I have ever had )More

We have had mixed experience over the years here. Our last visit two years ago was bad but previously we had a good experience. So we tried again this year and booked because we know it’s always so busy. First impressions not good ignored for...a good five minutes while they sorted out a booking problem. Got better when we sat down and the food was good although would be better to have the bread and mojo sauce with the starter. Very nice main course and decent bottle of wine. Would love to give five but the service still needs work.More

Hi. Yes the peppers stuffed with fish are still on the menu. I haven't tried them personally but hope they are still as good as you remember!
