I had a baguette with beautiful ham. My husband had the burger which he said was great with lovely chips. Someone else had the... More

We were staying in a lovely cottage next door to this amazing local pub. We had heard good things about the pub at the end of the driveway but never expected it to be this good! From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive with a good kid menu too. The food was... More

We had Sunday lunch here on weekend just gone. Have to say was lovely and being a vegetarian was surprised how nice the nut roast was. Will definitely be returning. Best pub around these ways lovely open fire 👌

We had booked a table for 5, but arrived as a party for 7, and the change of table was very much appreciated without any fuss, The menu obviously uses locally sourced food and all cooked from scratch on the premises. The starters, main course and dessert were all absolutely delicious. One of the best Restaurants I have been for... More

Hadn't been here for a while . However it is one of my favourites . It's a lovely location with a garden that looks down into a picturesque valley. It has a good choice of local ales and ciders . Landlady is polite and welcoming . Food was very good , and locally produced .

We enjoyed a delicious roast lunch at the Half Moon this weekend. It's clear they use very high quality ingredients and we were pleased everything was sourced locally. The portion sizes were generous but we still managed to clear our plates. I think their gravy was the best I've tasted! Thanks to it being a sunny November day we were... More

We visited the half moon to eat for the second time, the first time having been marred by staff training. This time everything was excellent, we had the mixed meat sharing starter between 3 which was great and we then had traditional Sunday lunch which was excellent. We had our dog with us, who is well behaved and he was... More

Upon entering the premises we were greeted by a very friendly young chap behind the well stocked bar and we tried some local ciders the he recommended and they were very nice. Once we were taken to our table we were given a menu and advised of the specials. Every question we asked was answered with a friendly response and... More

Lovely food, log fire, friendly relaxed atmosphere - reasonably priced and beautifully presented country pub food, also a proper locals pub which is lovely to see still in a rural community. Went for a quiet mid week evening meal with our 10 year old, excellent childrens menu (inc vegetarian), happily changed a dish to vegan for main course for me,... More

Although every time we've been there the weather has made us eat inside the beer garden has magnificent views of the Blackdown Hills. The menu is excellent and the food appetizing and we'll presented there is a good selection of real ales, wines , ciders etc on offer
