Not michelin-starred, not cheap, but good. Have cicchetti for aperitivo; very good pricing. Enjoy it!

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding anniversary at the restaurant and it was one of the most memorable meals we had. Having a husband as a Chef makes dining out a bit complicated as we always try to visit restaurants that serve innovative food and provide intuitive service. We were not disappointed! I started with the beef carpaccio... More

We went for lunch on a recommendation from a friend. I have to premise that we are from Italy and definitely "buongustai" (foodies?) and we live in New York so we are familiar with new interpretations. We ordered 3 or 4 dishes and everything was incredibly disappointing, as if the chef just came up with some random ingredients and didn't... More

This is officially 'Le Calandre's bistrot, i.e. cheapstake brother. It is not. Having been quite unhappy in the recent past with the Calandre's food and sommelier, last time that I had to hold some conferences in Padova for the Fiera d'Auto d'Epoca, Anna and I decided to have dinner at the 'Calandrino' (we had already dined there in the past)... This place is absolutely amazing and the breakfast I had here is one that I will never forget! Living in the New York City area, I am spoiled with some of the world's best coffee and food on a daily basis. However, none of these places can even come close to the cappuccino and croissant that I enjoyed at Il... More

A great italian restaurant, this is a kind of a Bistro from the 3 michelin star restaurant Le Calandre that is in the same place. The actual address of the restaurant is in Rubano, just next to Padova, but if you are staying in Padova, don't worry it is worth the visit, it is by far the best restaurant that... More

I went to this restaurant after 8 months. So I can confirm my five points judgment. This time the business lunch solution was based on fish: whole meal pasta with fish ragout; small fish hamburgers dressed with a light fennel cream; fresh salad with small pieces of anchovy and, at the end, a piece of diplomatic cake. Quality and service... More

Il Calandrino is a casual version of Le Calandre, the Alajmo brothers three Michelin star restaurant. It is located directly in front of Le Calandre and serves excellent modern Italian food. Great wine and cocktails as well. And in the back corner of Il Calandrino, there is a small pastry shop selling delicious cakes, cookies and small pastries.
