Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The restaurant is in the middle of the 'old' city pedestrian street. They have a big menu with a lot of choices. I had the meat plate for one person - see the picture. Three kinds of meat, all tender, with potatoes and vegetables. It...was very good. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff.More

I have eaten here before on previous visits to the town and always find the staff friendly and helpful. There is a good selection on the menu and on this visit I enjoyed a mixed salad followed by a seafood assortment of three white fish...and grilled prawns with fries, rice and salad. It is always nice to sit outside looking at the beautiful church opposite and all the people walking by.More

We had a very good lunch here on the front enclosed terrace on a cool September afternoon. The restaurant inside looked very comfortable also. The Goulash was very good. Service us a bit uneven with one waiter being rather unfriendly. The menu is quite extensive....I would certainly recommend this restaurant.More

We went there at 8pm to have diner and we were refused to have diner unless it's announced to be open until 10pm... Also the waiter wasn't friendly neither. Very disappointing.

very bad, the prices are too high for the quality of food and the ambience. I know this restaurant since many years and I have the feeling that they are cheating because they offer low prices and when you want to eat that what they...offer they redirect you to a cheap corner. disgusting since years. it is a pity bacause under the fahter of the owners from today the restaurant was good.More

It's a lovely spot, and the food ain't half bad. But the waiters appear to be surly graduates of the Hungarian campus of the Basil Fawlty school of hospitality. Could be worth a visit just for the experience! ;-)

We were there ordering one veal goulash and beef goulash, 50 minutes waiting for the food, after us they arrived two other tables they were served before us. At the moment to ask why so long waiting, they didn't even say sorry or anything. Absolutely...to avoid, normal food and inadequate service.More

Too much salt in soup as well as the main dish:( The waiter was not very friendly, brought a bigger drink than I asked for. It has a central location, but that's the only plus.

2 main courses, 2 deserts, 1 coke, 3 pints Heineken, 9635HUF bargain. Don't speak much English but they have a multilingual menu so point and eat no problem. Weather was very warm so sitting outside was nice.

We had a Saturday lunch in July. Fisherman's soup and Gulash were poor. Further fish dishes were without taste, but heavy due to lots of oil. Ratatouille meant four slices of grilled tomatoe and three slices of grilled zucchini. Not recommended. Not even for cost/benefit.

Very nice pleasant surroundings sitting outside with agreat view of the church, the waiter was really helpful and spoke English and there was a good selection of dishes on the menu. Good home cooked Hungarian dishes were available and that is what i enjoyed. Good...selection of wines and all at a very reasonable price. Worth a visit.More
