Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We’ve been to this restaurant on a few occasions over the years and have never been disappointed. Today we stopped in for lunch, the tomato soup with basil pesto, served with homemade brown bread was absolutely delicious and the goats cheese tartlet was really tasty....We hadn’t intended to have desert but were tempted by the desert board and so had a strawberry and rhubarb tart and an apple pie both of which were excellent, great coffee too. The service was friendly and helpful and the views of the Burren are fabulous. All in all an excellent experience I would highly recommend Cassidy’s.More

Excellent burger with Shorthorn beef from the farm. Situated in the heart of the Burren. As authentic as it gets. My companion is a South African beef expert and he rates it top ten

They accommodated a group of 12 of us with no issues. Best burger I've ever had in my life, I'm not sure how this place isn't in any food guides as I s an absolute gem! Lovely spot for grub and nice crew. Will be...back 100%.More

Ordered the ‘tartlet’ and soup. Soup was nice but tartlet wasn’t a tartlet. They need to look up some recipes. The door in the bathroom was broken and it looks run down. No gluten free pizza bread so my only option was to order from...other side of menu. The prices of course have been raised but the service and place itself is still stuck in 1980.s.More

The staff were friendly and lovely and acknowledged each person as they passed in and out. The food was delicious, served hot, fresh and with a smile. The place was spotless. We sat outside as it was a lovely day and also we had our...dog. It was so peaceful and a real treat to stop here for lunch. We’re looking forward to going back soon.More

Spectacular restaurant. Our family of 8 found it by accident. It was the best restaurant in our 2 weeks in Ireland. All 8 of our meals were amazing. Our server was so kind, patient and attentive. The views and the atmosphere was perfect. The kids...played in the outdoor garden while we waited for the food. The view of the burren was breathtaking.More

The pub was great for lunch; lovely view over the Burren, very nice staff, and there was a group playing music which was a nice surprise. I had a fruit tart that was so good!

We took a drive in county Claire and just happened to come across this place. It is surrounded by the picturesque Burren, so beautiful, photos don't do it justice. The pub and restaurant had big windows so you got to look out while eating. We...shared a garlic bread, which was very nice as a starter and we both had the American burger, it was delicious, the meat was so soft and juicy. The staff were very friendly. The pub and restaurant was very clean.More

Y family and I visited Cassidy's after a hike in the Burren. We had a gorgeous pizza on their outside deck with lovely views over the Burren. The service was excellent. A great place to start and finish hikes in the Burren

Great character, great setting. Amazing view. Unfortunately, we went in expecting it to be better food than standard pub fare and were summarily disappointed. Probably worst shrimp salad I've ever had - overly saucy and the avocado that went with it was brown. Pizzas were...cooked just right in a proper pizza oven, but the base was tasteless and the ingredients on top were cheap and sparse. Pizza sauce tasted like passata. I'd recommend the place for sitting outside on the terrace with a pint and a bag of chips. If we'd only done that, the review would have probably been very different.More

From the US we planned a rehearsal dinner for the day before our son's wedding. Michelle was so helpful and accommodating of dietary restrictions. Tropical Storm Lorenzo didn't allow us to go to the restaurant but Michelle didn't miss a beat and delivered all the...food and serving equipment to our location. The food was delicious! Everyone loved it--all 33 of us. We had a seafood pasta that quickly disappeared and chicken curry that people couldn't get enough of. Salads were gorgeous and the homemade breads, especially the brown bread, were the best in Ireland. I can't recommend Cassidy's Pub highly enough!More

The restaurant appeared exactly at the time, when we wished a cup of coffee and something to eat. But we didn't want to miss a beautifull weather there. In this restaurant you can have both - delicious cakes, coffee and view to a beautiful part...of Burren.More

We had really good soup at Cassidy in Carron today after a grand walk on the Burren. This is a good pub and the service from the two girls was with a smile.
