Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really wanted dinner but no longer serves food. However they have an arrangement with the van in the campsite next door. That's open daily from 6 except Wednesdays. Order food at van- just basic selection eg burger/fish/scampi/chicken nuggets and chips and they will bring it...to pub so you can eat there if you buy a drink. Food ok though very limited menu. Would be great if pub could offer cakes or something as dessert. Ended up going to nearby petrol station for something sweet to finish off our meal. Lovely old pub- full of character!More

Ashes pub - Lovely spot for a relaxed dinner There’s both indoor and outdoor seating Enjoyed the prawns pil pil cooked in olive oil with a welcome heavy hand of garlic and chilli - the prawns and the oil was enjoyed with beautiful Brown bread....Main of scampi monkfish was also excellent & available in starter and main course sizes ( note - portions are generous so order accordingly) Greedily we devoured a portion of chips with the scampi so not my most calorie friendly meal but one of my most enjoyable in Dingle. ( I also recommend the Chart house for a more a more formal restaurant experience ) Lovely friendly staff who are kept busy buzzing through the pub serving their happy customers Good with allergies Tip : Book ahead as it’s a busy spot with a super reputation for good foodMore

What a welcome addition to the area. Ashes pub is no longer serving food or operating its restaurant but they have set up this gem of a cafe at the side of the pub. The selection of baked sweet goods was dazzling- the best in...West Kerry- and they are doing toastie, sausage rolls and croissants with ham and cheese also. Coffee was delicious. We will be back again and again.More

Phenomenal array of cakes and pastries, and nice coffee too. This was the first stop every day for our recent stay in Dingle. Highly recommend a visit to collect morning tea, or lunch on the go.

To address the outdoor dining advice, Ashe's have created a coffee and bakery, with really good coffee (FIXX) and truly delicious baked goods. The carrot cake is a joy, wonderfully light. The Bakewell with fresh raspberries is delicious and there is a wide variety to...tempt any sweet tooth. The Toastees are very good and beautifully presented. With lots of place to sit outdoors this was a particular piece of heaven that we returned to during our stay in the Kingdom, all accompanied by friendly service.More

I’ve never been to this place, in fact I don’t even know where it is. Trip advisor emailed me telling me how great I was and to just keep on going with my reviews so I picked the one with the picture of a bar....I miss bars. I wish I owned one (in a world without damn Covid) and if I did own one, I’d make my bar look like this one.More

Eddie and I went to Ashes last night to celebrate Valentine's day. We had a lovely evening. The made an great effort for the night. Valentine's balloons, a red rose decorated every table. Two delicious chocolates after the meal and the chef sent out a...red rose for every lady to take home, such a nice touch. On top of that our meals were delicious . It is a little pricey but the chef is Rory Duffen so you would expect that and it's well worth it. The service was excellent too. Great night, great atmosphere.More

We stopped by for bite on an early Jan evening, and were surprised by the parking being full and more. We had forgotten it was Nollaig na mBan . So we were pleasantly surprised to be seated right off in a nice corner by the...fire. Our server was always there and attentive, and took our orders, and had our drinks to us right off. The food here is just lovely. I had lamb, and my wife a chicken curry. Both were just perfect. For a quaint pub, the menu is so much more than one would expect, and the food was warm, tasty. and nicely presented.More

My wife and I shared the surf/turf and enjoyed a shot of their very own Dingle whiskey (pricey) but compared better than the regular Dingle whiskey.

This was the second time I invited best friends to this historic bar and restaurant in a fantastic location in beautiful Kerry. The ambiance was excellent, the service was warm and the food wholesome. Unfortunately the proprietor was rude beyond what I had ever experienced....When I questioned why we were being seated where he suggested, away from the fire in a cold area, he advised that I could take it or leave. I told him we would leave but when my guests arrived I felt I could not spoil the evening with the proprietors hubris. I half expected some type of response during the evening but nine arrived. I would like to return but can’t see any good reason why.More

Ashe's is welcoming from the open half door in front, to the gentleman behind the bar, to the toasty fire. The food is excellent including vegetarian options as well as more traditional pub fare.

A perfect place to cosy up on a winter evening in front of the open fire with a pint and dinner. The food here is superb and the staff are lovely. Such a traditional Irish pub that is 100’s of years old. Definitely worth a...visit for the setting alone.More

Nice pub but the food is not great. I had a "fresh " fish dish. It was far from fresh, it was microwaved so high that I burned my mouth with the first fork full.the mash potato was floating in with the fish in a...bowl and was soggy. When it finally coold down from boiling it was bland and tasteless.the chips we got were soggy and half cooked.overall the menu is like something from a 1980 hotel wedding menu..boring and bland. Pity as this is nice pub.prices are above average but our food was below average. We used to go there years ago and it was a lot better food and choice..won't be returning!More
