Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place for lunch, beautiful setting opposite the lake. Really good deal on the 3 course plate of the day. Fresh buffet, main course and dessert. Popular with locals and tourists alike. Plenty of parking for cars and camper vans. After lunch you can go...for a lovely walk along the lakes shoresMore

I had the 3 course lunch time set menu for 12 euros. The food was very good and the service was good too.

Thank you for your response. So to give as much of an honest review as possible this was our third attempt to eat here. It is a Tuesday evening and the only people here are two other English families and one French group. Having learned...from our previous mistakes here we asked if they were serving food. It was 7 pm. Having sat down and cancelled our reservation at a proper restaurant, we were informed there was no fish or mussels left. So out of desperation and having nowhere else to eat we ordered salad and omelettes. The salad I had was smothered in hot cheap very fatty lardons. The omelettes were burnt. We endured what can only be honestly described as poor main courses and out of desperation as we had children whose food was just as bad, ordered crepes for desert. There were no crepes available despite an illuminated sign advertising crepes. We asked for the bill as by now we were desperate to leave and they overcharged us by almost €25. Finally one of the waiters was smoking. A truly awful place which after three visits, (only one when we were actually served food), we would never return.More

Sadly I am in agreement with the majority of reviewers. Great location but sadly not at all good. Service is so slow you almost lose the will to live. It is such a shame as it is a lovely place to sit and could be...a gold mine - perhaps it is so it doesn't matter!More

Been here twice in two weeks, service was excellent the first but disastrous the second time (a lot of people complaining about time to be served etc) food was good city times, I had burger one time omlette another, others had mussels and salads all...good. Worth a visit if you don't expect too much more than good basic food in an outdoor locationMore

Twice we have visited. For lunch and dinner. It is a restaurant after all. First time the kitchen was closed. At 2.03 pm. The Second time they had no meat and no mussels. At dinner time. They hate the English and this is vey obvious...in their attitude. A truly terrible experience - there are much better places in the town. Don't waste your time and energy to make the trip to this dump. It was much better last year when apparently it was owned by a Brit. If you want to experience the French at their worst visit this place. The French at their best however are all happy and delighted to serve you great food in the town 10 minutes walk away.More

I don't eat meat so I chose moules....on the menu but not available although they are in season and available at the local market. Very limited menu for non meat eaters. I chose chèvre chaud. Waited 45 minutes. Plate piled high with lardons and bacon...and swimming in dressing. I passed the meat over to my husband. All of the food was incredibly greasy as were the chips which arrived late. The restaurant was not busy so either the chef was slow in getting out the orders or the waiting staff were unorganized. This is our third time here in the last year. Each time we have been disappointed with the food. Because it is in a beautiful place we gave it one last try but we will not eat here again.More
