Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We ordered “ sarrasain galette” and they served them burned. When we complained, they said that this was because of the sarrasin ( I cook myself sarrasin creps and I am sure that is not the reason) We ordered creos with strawberries for the kids...and they brought strawberry gummi’s instead Really dissapointedMore

Went on a busy Saturday lunch when St J is buzzing with market visitors. Most of the tables reserved so we had to sit in the back room. Some different combinations on galettes or you can make your own. Service not so good at the...start but picked up afterwards and the waitress did a good job getting round all the tables Best to reserve on Saturday lunchtime or go at another time!More

Brought family out as been recommended but absolutely disgusted by way we was treated. Starters were to die for but mains something else. Had two out of five mains come out first waited ten minutes still no cutlery or other meals. Sent back to them...be reserved microwaved still no Cutlery or other meals. Finally all five meals arrived. The two crepes hard through being given same ones again. Other three Camembert was quite inedible.More

It’s a nice location and there is where it ends! The first course was good but after was not. We received 2 out of 5 mains to begin with and they were cold so we sent them back expecting new ones. No they were just...heated up for them to be served again! With no cutlery. So they went cold again still no other peoples mains were brought or cutlery!! And they heated them up again!! Finally all mains arrived but although we ate them they were less than mediocre but after 2.5 hours we just needed to have somethingMore

A good and quick lunch, along the way to Cognac. We sat on the street opposite the restaurant. The service was efficient and food arrived promptly.

This has soon become one of my favourite restaurants in Saint Jean d'Angely. There is plenty of competition too. The galettes are very good indeed, as is the salad with duck breast. The service is slightly lacking, it certainly seems like you have interrupted them...when you place an order but the food more than makes up for it. Also they do a very good Charentais white wine.More

Great service and great food. Good value would definitely recommend and will visit again. Visited at the last minute due to no electricity at home. Just hit the spot. Salad was fresh and dressing yummy.

A lovely restaurant serving galette and salads, situated in the market square. Why not sit outside and watch the bustling market and enjoy a lunch with friends. My children always ask for galette when shopping, knowing we shall eat here. The service is good and...the food tasty. Give it a try.More

Decided to visit after reading trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed lovely savory galettes. My teenage boys had ice creams and I had the best butter and sugar sweet crepe I've ever had. Service was a bit slow given that it wasn't very busy...but once we'd placed our orders food was cooked and served very quickly. Good value for money too. Will visit again.More

Second visit and not disappointed. Small but well run establishment. Had the midi formule, very tasty goat cheese & chicken salad. Followed by apple tart/ice cream & coffee all for 11 euros. Very good value. Friendly service. Worth a visit for a light lunch.

It was Saturday night and all nice places around were full. So they found a table for us, what was very nice. I think it's a heaven for children. Crepes with crepes with crepes. The food was not brilliant but ok for such sort of...places. The dessert an apple pie what is basically a pan cake with the apples, caramel and ice cream was fantastic. I would visit this place with children.More
