Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food was really nice. And the dissert was so amazing too. The only problem was they said it would be a 1/2 an hour wait, but it was more than an hour. But it was a busy night for them. The waiters were nice...tooMore

Having visited this restaurant many times in the past, it was great to see that despite Covid restrictions this year, nothing had changed in terms of quality of service. The staff were as usual very attentive, speedy and they have made every effort for customers...to feel safe & socially distanced. This is my boyfriend's absolute favourite restaurant in the area & he would definitely give it 5 stars. My only drawback is that I have found sometimes found that it can depend on what you order as to how tasty it is. Sometimes it is top notch & other times, perhaps a tiny bit bland for me. Overall though, I would really recommend going there. Very friendly, welcoming and very reasonably priced.More

We visited as a couple to enjoy a sour dough pizza but left feeling very disappointed. The staff were welcoming and friendly, we had booked a table so they were expecting us. It soon became clear that the serving staff were very very busy they...were practically running between tables. When our pizzas came mine looked rather ‘ bien cuit ‘ but I gave it the benefit of any doubt and tucked in. As it cooled it became more and more difficult to eat, the crust was super dry and the rest of the base chewy. It felt and tasted like a left over Pizza that had been reheated. We finished our meals and headed to pay having not wanting to make a fuss or add to the workload of the serving staff and feeling difficult about complaining when I had eaten much of the pizza. I mentioned to the owner as we left that I was disappointed, it wasn’t a complaint it was feedback, given in a open and balanced manner. I was even more disappointed by the reaction of the owner who simply launched into a tirade of how it was too late now, that I should have said I wasn’t happy ( which I agreed with him) he then went on to say that people on holiday ( not us) should have more time and patience and that he was fed up with people complaining ! We won’t return but suspect that it will make very little difference. The 2 stars reflect the welcome and the staff, the manager and quality of the food would get a zero based on this visit. We have been many times before and been happy, maybe the cooking of the pizza was just bad luck but the reaction of the manager was unjustified. Note to self: if you’re not happy then mention it straight away in future.More

After a long drive from the Netherlands, we ended up with a diner in Les Jacobins in their garden (in the back of the restaurant). We ordered a spaghetti and pizza and were very surprised of the taste. It was very delicious and also well...sized portions. The owner and (I think) his wife were very friendly and tried there best to speak also a bit English. On our way back to the Netherlands, we will certainly try to visit this restaurant again.More

We went to the nearby square for a drink and looked at the reviews. We wanted a family friendly restaurant with good french food but something for the children aged 4-9. I popped into the tourist office and the lady recommended a few restaurants beyond...the tourist trap square in front of the office. She recommended here as best for pizza but good local food. We arrived dead on 7pm and asked to be seated at the back terrace. We were first there so were served really quickly.Children's meals were pizza or meat dishes with dessert for €9. We ordered from a mix of set menus which were great and from the a la carte. Service was friendly and helpful. When our starters arrived so did the children's meals which meant no waiting for hungry children. The veal and steak were fantastic. For eight of us with starters desserts 2x carafe of wine, soft drinks, 4xcoffees came to €150. It may not look like much from outside but when we left it was full to bursting with French families, that tells me it must be good!More

Stopped off for early dinner, sat outside in the terrasse. Service wasn't the friendliest but we got our food quickly, without any major mishap and it was decent. Sitting outside was a bit annoying because of the unusual amount of flies about. But they have...more room inside (aircon) and in the small private courtyard.More

We enjoyed an impromptu supper here. Service was good. Pizzas were very good: freshly prepared, crispy based and sufficiently topped. Reasonably priced. Pleasant experience.

What a helpful young waiter to help us find our way through the menu. The lasagna was wonderful and the banana split was amazing! Authentic Italian in the heart of France.

We visited this restaurant while holidaying in the area! We had made a reservation thankfully as it was busy! They have a large outside eating area at the rear with large doors leading from main restaurant but it was full of smokers and also acted...as smoking area which meant smoke wafted inside it was pretty awful as we're non smokers with children. The food was nice good pizza and pasta thankfully we were not in a hurry as service was poor the lady who served seemed uninterested in us as customers even though we were all eating 3 courses and had wine, we left without our coffees got take away pizzas a few days later as just couldn't be dealing with the poor service in restaurant!!More

For its size SJDA packs an awful lot of very decent restaurants and this does not let that list down. Lunch was packed, but with good reason as the pizzas are very good, the rest of the menu looked good too. I would say that...the service wasn’t quite as friendly as some of the other restaurants and was rather slow though I guess that’s because it was so busy.More

Came here with my mum, the hubby and the small person for a lunch. Small person loved his spaghetti bolognese and the staff were great with him. Brought out his meal early so we got some peace! Pizza was delicious, carbonara was great and parmentier...du canard (plat du jour) was very tasty. Desserts rather nice and the bottle size carafe of house red for €8 was superb value. Lovely!More
