We came here for coffee and cake and weren't disappointed. It's in a beautiful setting that encourages you to stay a while. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

A group of 4 friends stayed at the Lodge the night before going trekking for 2 days at High Country Horses and again the night after the trek finished. We were accommodated well and looked after by very friendly and helpful staff. In the mornings breakfast in the cafe was excellent with good options for those of us who were... More

We had our meal here before exploring Glenorchy. Clean restaurant and conducive environment. Not much choice for vegetarians.

This restaurant is actually at the Bold Peak Lodge, which was formerly The Lodge. We ate here 4 nights while we were staying in Glenorchy to do some hiking. We also had 2 lunches (one in the restaurant and one to take on our hike). The food was good with a reasonable selection of items. Service was excellent. We enjoyed... More

We spent a nice relaxing morning here sitting outside on a perfect February day, waiting for our water transfer to Kinloch lodge. We had good food, great coffee and good service from friendly staff and they didn't mind that we took up a table outside for quite awhile. Glenorchy is a gorgeous place in a beautiful setting

This was my "pit-stop" after my horse ride based on the guides recommendation. The food was typical for cafes with burgers, salad as well as some cake/muffins in the afternoons. My salad was fresh and tasted yummy.

We did a solid 4-hour walk on the Routeburn track and stopped off at Glenorchy on the way back for some well-earned coffee and cake. The lodge is one of the few places still open after 1700 and it served us some great coffee, tea, and a yummy scone and ginger crunch. Lovely.

We stopped off around 6pm on the way back from a horse trek. Tea and cake were needed, when we arrived they were clearing away. However a very helpful lady brought the cakes back out and served us with our requirements, very tasty and sat outside in the sun it was a nice end to a busy day. The service... More
