A great place, the food was superb. I really enjoyed the tastes, textures and presentation. The dining room was smart and formal with out being uncomfortable. Service was relaxed and casual but efficient. So why the thrown out comment? We went with our 4 and 5 year old kids. They were a little lively and we had to put one... More

We pushed the boat out and had an excellent, superbly presented meal, starting with asparagus with poached egg, amuses bouches, then lovely cod, coloured and flavoured with spinach, with ricotta. Imaginative cuisine, and not too many foams and smears ( just a few!).

A truly gourmet restaurant, serving food based on local products and the invention of the chef. The decor corresponds to the culinary principles: quality, lightness and subdued taste. Excellent cheese selection. Closed on Wednesday and Thursday.

Light and airy decor and well spaced tables with a partial view of the abbey walls. A very good selection of menus with prices to suit most pockets. Sadly, the menus and wine list are all on tablets, which may be very trendy, but are less enjoyable to read and make choosing more difficult. On the other hand, the food... More

Went for dinner. I had the minimum table d'hôte, my dining partner has meat. My meal was fun to look at but light in taste, the other meal was a single slab of meat that was more expensive than my 4 course. Meat tasted ok but was just a slab of meat and no sauce, accompaniments. Not good value for... More

We booked this restaurant based on the good reviews here, and email correspondence with the restaurant that they would be happy to accommodate children (age 5 & 7) and a food allergy. We were welcomed and seated outside on a warm, sunny evening. The menu and wine lists are available in English and all on tablet devices....didn't like this so... More

We came here for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary and chose the 28€ menu-although this was 4 courses with the added extras we enjoyed 6 courses all of which were full of flavours, good sized portions and we felt it was a very special meal. Service was friendly and attentive and our small dog was welcomed in the conservatory... More

This is the most expensive restaurant in the town and was recommended to us by the hotel le clos de fontain. Food was ok, but a bit too frilly and expensive. Felt like a provincial restaurant chef trying a bit too hard and service was a little patchy.

We read all the fab reviews on this place and expected perfection, how wrong we were, the place and the service was impeccable, the food looked amazing, but tasted awful..The amuse bouche in particular tasted of soap, I had rock fish tartare which looked beautiful, but unfortunately tasted of raw peas and not fish..too many flavours spoilt the basic flavour... This is a lovely place. Unexpectedly modern but fabulous service and Michelin quality food at a good price.
