The restaurant is utterly fabulous in terms of history and originality. The food was a bit disappointing though and really forgettable. Staff very pleasant. Wine list nice, reasonably priced.

The special soup of sweet potato and coconut soup was very good especially on the cold night we were there. The burger and fish and chips were good too.

Delicious roast with plenty of veg, massive and wonderful Yorkshire pudding. Dog friendly and great historic pub. Only improvement could be to fix the slamming door! Thanks a lot.

Inn rather small and gets crowded and noisy quite quickly. Rooms good value and lovely old building with loads of history attached. Service was excellent with friendly staff.
