Visiting this Izakaya was one of my highlights of my trip to Japan. The quality of the food was superb with such and interesting range of flavours and enjoyed sharing a shot of Saki (or three) with some locals was great fun. If you want...to get a feel for how the locals really like to relax this is the perfect place to do it. It's also good to know that one of the owners speaks fluent English and loves to entertain and welcome tourists from out of town. She'll make you feel welcome.More

Kinokuni-Ya is a really wonderful local family-run izakaya, with amazing food, friendly staff and a great neighbourhood atmosphere. It's such an enjoyable place to sit, drink and chat on a relaxed night out. They have an English menu and English-speaking staff, and are very accomodating...to vegetarians and travellers. We got there very easily by train from central Osaka. Highly recommended!More

On our first night in Osaka we visited this restaurant. When I was there, it was full of people meaning this restaurant must be the famous one in the neighborhood and I believe so; as they serve fresh and amazingly delicious food. All food are...cooked and served perfectly. They are just flawless ... I can not remember what I ate ... But everything taste its best. For sure visiting this restaurant is on my top list for my next visit in Osaka and this restaurant is highly recommended for you to experience their amazingly taste good menus.More

If you want to go "Local atmosphere" "Nice, Cozy ambience of an IZAKAYA" this place is Highly recommended. One of the staff can speak English well. So you can ask her recommendation of food and drinks. Actually Hanshin Amagasaki Station has a bus that runs...directly to Kansai airport. So great access for international visitors. I was with my Aussie husband. I was thinking of taking him to Osaka city. But we so enjoyed local shops in the arcades in front of Hanshin Amagasaki station and shinto shrine and temples around there. Also benefit is less crowd than middle of Osaka. There are some hotels very close to the station, too. We became Amagasaki fans with this lovely Izakaya restaurant!!More
