Can to Ponto Final with high expectations. Was recommended by a friend. When we arrived, we didn’t have a reservation. But was told to give a name, get a drink from the bar. And wait for our name to be called. We were told the...wait would be approximately 1 hour. We witnessed several groups that arrived after us, with same size group be seated before us. After 1 hour, 30 minutes of waiting. We then asked the waitering staff why we had not been called. They stated they had called our name. Although we witnessed over groups being approached directly for a confirmation of their name. This did not happen to us at all. There was no apology from the staff. As result we chose not to dine here. As we were treated appallingly. Extremely disappointing as we were looking forward to the food, which looked and smelt great.More

My mom and I had made reservations here way ahead of time and luckily were able to go on the 2nd of May, 2022. We were staying in Chiado, and took the ferry across and walked along the water to arrive to the restaurant. The...location is perfection. We were greeted by the friendly host (I unfortunately did not get his name) and then were attended to by the wonderful Costa (hoping I got this right). He made excellent suggestion for the bottle of wine were ordered. We also had the octopus salad & oysters to start. For the main course we had the codfish and the salmon. For dessert we had the creme brulee. The service was fabulous! We will definitely recommend to everyone and hopefully be back one day!More

I went there in April/2022. Didn’t get a table because, to sit, we had to talk with some girl called “Tatiana”, but no one could find her. There were several empty tables, lots of people waiting and nobody did anything. So I entered a room...(full with empty tables) to ask for help and, believe it or not, a waiter tried to push me out. I yelled at him and he walked away but kept staring. I have never seen such rude people in a place that needs tourism to exist. Nearby there was another restaurant where we were well attended with the same view.More

My husband and I came here for our last night in Portugal on our honeymoon because so many people had recommended it. The host was extremely friendly and the wait was not that long. We ordered the grilled sardines and monkfish stew which were both...delicious! The experience is very unique and worth the ferry ride from Lisbon. Unfortunately our waiter was very rude and ruined the experience for us. He walked up to our table and did not say a word or even a hello, just opened his notepad with an attitude on his face. I guess he was expecting us to put in our food order? Drinks? Appetizers? We had no idea. He did not lead with any introduction or welcome. He did not check on us one time during dinner, he was very rude when asking him what he recommended on the menu. He also did not address me, the female, at all. Everything was directed towards my husband. The host, the bartender, the staff that brought the food we’re all extremely friendly. Unfortunately it only took one bad waiter to make us uncomfortable and want to leave as soon as we were done with dinner. It’s unfortunate that one bad seed can ruin such a delicious meal.More

A superb city break. We visited Taormina and Syracuse, two very beautiful old cities with ancient theaters. I also visited Catania, the opposite of the two and I do not recommend it. The best food in Italy. I recommend a restaurant in Catania: Mad in...Italy!More

Went on a sunny afternoon with friends, had such a lovely meal. The staff were great, really attentive despite being busy. The food was brilliant, fresh, great selection and really good value. Enjoyed a couple of bottles of Portuguese wine, really well priced. We weren’t...rushed at all! Can highly recommend!More

Amazing view. Delicious food. Very nice staff. Things one should consider: Everyone wants a table, try to book a table a week in advance, if possible. There is always a queue for the staff to arrange a table for you. They try their best. Usually...they will ask you to wait at a very nice tiny hill, you can take drinks n snacks with you, and as the table gets available, staff will call your name out. People plan for a sunset view, at 7pm they open, you have to take a ferry to cross from mainland lisbon to Almada. The frequency of ferries is usually every 20-40 mins. Check the timetable so you can plan your return. The lift to uptop hill to see the Christ statue, shuts at 9pm, stairs are open if you have that kind of will and strength.More

After watching the Lisbon episode of Somebody Feed Phil, we made it our first dinner stop on our trip. And it did not disappoint. We arrived at opening time (7pm), and it was a bit of a gong show: there were just far too many...people for the one host to deal with. Most people had reservations, some did not. Eventually we were seated, and everything just got better and better after that. The wine (a vinho verde) was excellent, and so was the food. We opted for the octopus salad and a couple of very local dishes: a pig's trotter stew, and a chicken giblet and blood rice. Both were excellent, but won't be to everyone's liking, especially if you have more of a, ahem, Caucasian palet... A word about the ambience and views: in a word, stunning! This is a must try when visiting Lisbon; just remember to make reservations well in advance...More

I spoke with someone on Messager about booking and they confirmed that I have a table booked. I went to the place on the day and turned out that it was closed and no-one informed me.

This is literally the worst place I have ever eaten, all the staff were nice except this one older man who was horrible. Kept making nasty comments all night long. Do not visit.
