Used to come here all the time for breakfast & lunches during the week, good food with good quality ingredients BUT the last three visits have been awful, cheap ingredients & poor quality food, staff with attitude problems, we won't be going back again Greasy spoon fare for restaurant prices

Have to say started with a lot of items "off" the menu, finally ended up with an expensive sausage sandwich each, asked for brown and tomatoes sauce, when I looked at the bill iD been charged £0.10 each sauce Sandwiches were dumped on the table with no regard for the cutlery already there, and no garnish on the plate The... As with a lot of garden centre cafes ( and yes it is only a cafe with restaurant prices) there is a captive clientele! The visitors to the superb garden centre! So will pay for the small pot of tea, one teabag or coffee and cake etc to make a visit to the garden centre a ' treat' However, all... More

Having completed our shopping in the garden centre and the beautiful Christmas shop. We decided to have lunch in the Café Manhatten, we won't again. The staff were friendly enough but the food over priced and you have to pay extra for tomato ketchup! My lunch had a selection of cold and warm chips. Next time we go shopping and... More

Popped in to look at xmas decorations & decided to have a bite to eat & drink- bad mistake. Ordered a hot Cornish pasty which didn't look overly appealing to start with & OH had a sausage baguette. When I went to pay I was charged £5.50 for pasty !!Told her how outrageous it was & she just shrugged her shoulders.Sausage... Very Bad Experience Visited the lovely garden centre recently and decided to have a spot of lunch in the Cafe Manhattan. A very uninspiring atmosphere but thought I'm sure the food etc will make up for it. When my lunch finally arrived it was lukewarm and unappetising. I went to complain and spoke to an older gentleman (and I use... More

Had a lovely browse around the stunning decorations in the garden centre with a few friends & decided to pop into cafe for breakfast & coffee. Firstly it's 2016!! I am allergic to dairy, almost everywhere now (especially paying that price!!) has soya milk, but no & no apology from the downright rude staff. Had an extremely bland fruit tea... More

We went to Cafe Manhatten as we were visiting the garden centre. We ordered two Ham and Cucumber sandwiches and two Coffee's, it came to just over £14. Sandwiches came up, four triangles plonked on a plate, with 1 sliver of Tomato that was soggy and 2 salad leaves. The bread was hard around the edges. Very unimaginative and boring.... More

Overpriced for what it is, a garden centre cafe. However visited it on B/H and though they were busy service was good and food nice. Staff were friendly. A large 3 cup pot of tea which kept hot till our baguette arrived. Lemon cake delicious.
