If you want a classic British pub with good food and proper beers with splendid no nonsense service... this is your pub. I would call this a “drinkers pub”... if you want a younger clientele with music pumping go elsewhere and there are plenty in...More

My dad took me here for lunch, the foods Is very nice and fresh. It's not somewhere I would of though of going myself but was pleasantly surprised, it's a typical old fashioned pub but is clean big and inviting.

Dave and the team as always made our visit a warm and welcome experience. Our waitress Sharon was lovely and looked after us, thank you all, the food was superb, always a great restaurant, one of our favourites.

Excellent traditional Sunday lunch. Nothing too much trouble and the staff were really brilliant. Definitely on our list to visit again.

Food lovely, we wasn't told until we got there that our table that we booked had to be vacated in an hour and a half. Which was a shame, but we wasn't really rushed and the rood was really nice. There isn't a huge menu,...More

Many thanks for your kind review, Marie. I don't often respond on here but I wanted to apologise for slightly over-booking a really busy night. Next time, your table will be yours for the evening......I'll also buy your first drink. Dave.

Dave and the team are great hosts. Food is good honest home made pub food. Special mention food wise must go to the weds curry night and Sunday's amazing roast. Alongside this Dave always has great beers on offer.

I have seen a couple of dogs at the pub before, but not a regular occurrence to be fair. The landlord Dave is a great bloke so I'm sure he wouldn't mind a request.
