One word - outstanding! You'd have to go some to find fault with this place - food, service and atmosphere all great. Used to live close and be here all the time but hadn't been for ages due to moving. Our mistake and this will definitely be back on the list of top restaurants to go to in the South... More

We went at 6.30 and had a lovely early diners menu. Had the chicken and king prawn linguine and both were delicious. Starters and desserts were outstanding too. On our rare night out without kids I didn't want to chat to staff and almost felt bad because they were so lovely and attentive. Brilliant restaurant and will definitely be going... More

The menu was great and with the staff service, the whole experience was fabulously delicious. The bottles of red were of a fine vintage, along with the selection of seasonal foods. Definitely attending again.... a massive must try for all.

The Fat Loaf restaurant in Sale is an absolute find and a local favourite. The brainchild of chefs Paul Taylor and Tim Wood who trained under Michelin-starred Marco Pierre White at the Lowry, The Fat Loaf is a brilliant bistro. The open kitchen lets you watch them work. Sourcing is taken seriously – local wherever possible, excellent at all times. The menu is modern European prepared with imagination and flair. It’s perfectly set in a storefront restaurant with slate floors, white chairs, neutrally coloured walls and an array of art photography on display. Formerly a bring-your-own-wine place, The Fat Loaf now offers a short, thoughtful, international wines list at prices so reasonable you’ll have to blink
