We ate here in the pretty village of Santa Luzia, which has several restaurants situated along the front . There were mostly Portuguse diners, but the waiter spoke perfect English. We had a light meal of octopus salad( as the heart of octopus country you had to try it) which was amazingly tender. Followed by prawn kebab with a simple... More

It was not a good experience! We were looking for fresh fish (as it is placed in a fisherman village) and we mainly found aquaculture fish. Service was too slow and the restaurant was not full at all, only the terrace was full, inside was totally empty! Service is far from being professional and pleasant

I have to confess that we went here because the top 2 were full. Nevertheless it was a great choice due to the fact that it was empty when we arrived and the food was great. We ate some clams (which were pretty good... always use bread to eat the remaining sauce ;)) and then we went for "Arroz de... More

Went there with the child's. The clams were great, 2 Dorade may had to much time on the grill. My son enjoyed the pork filet with excellent fries. Overall acceptable but compare to the leaders in town we expected a little more. But quick service may is also an asset the others can learn from.

Beautiful setting on road overlooking all the fishing boats. Lovely welcome and good service throughout the meal. Beautifully cooked fish and octopus. Mango mousse for dessert was excellent as well. Extremely well priced too.

Disappointed with this restaurant all four of agreed that we couldn't see why this was number one in Santa Luzia. The service was poor and very slow. The food was no more than ok.

We visited on an evening when the restaurant was very quiet, mainly because they had no tv screen and every where else they were showing Portugal playing football ! Great service , really interesting conversation with the owner about the area and a genuine interest in where we came from . Good was good and we throughly enjoyed ourselves, thank... More

Check the historic photos on the fishing village, the art of tuna fish. The host is a very friendly person always ready to walk you through the menu , they have special created dishes. He really loves his job, you will notice it. Speaks a good English as well as French. Enjoy

In my mind, I've always wanted to find a small quaint little restaurant, in some remote fishing village that served such incredible fish at such an amazing cost... And then we happened upon this little restaurant. Portugal was playing Iceland in the European cup so most restaurants were either closed, or full of howling fans. I'm more of a hockey... More
