This is one of those restaurants that "thinks" it is far better than it really is. On a positive note. The place is beautiful and the dishes all tasted authentic to our travels in Germany. Downside: Since there are few choices in TSV, they feel they can get away with poor service and high prices. If there was any competition... More

The service and food amazing. Great wine & beer list , menu something for everyone. Great atmosphere warm and cozy inside , portions are easy to split and recommended. The pretzel starter was soft, warm and served with three mustards . Worth the short drive . They will pick you up at the Taos ski valley area . Looks like... More

We skied 3 days and had lunch at The Bavarian all 3 days. Yes, it's that good! Burger was delicious and cooked perfectly medium. My wife loves their fries, they're very tasty. Butternut squash soup was freakin awesome along with the pretzels, pasta, schnitzel, wine, beer, and fondue night!

This was our second visit to The Bavarian. Both visits were for lunch and I wasn't disappointed either time. Once you can get a seat service was quick and friendly. The burgers were great and the schnitzel was great. All the portions are large.... chase it with a Bavarian beverage and you will be full. Be ready to order when... More

This restaurant is somewhat hard to drive to unless you have 4 wheel drive, but they will provide transportation from the base of the mountain to the restaurant. The food was delicious and authentic. We just ate too much.

Stopped for lunch with a DoubleBock Beer and had a very fine Bavarian meal. With the beer and altitude, we made our last run of the day back to the lodge.

The weather is unseasonably warm during this late winter and will only get better as spring approaches. The Bavarian has a large, sunny deck with bar service and dining. Be aware that it can get crowded and the service can be slow during sunny days. Dining hours start at 11:30 and I'd recommend getting there early to get a seat... More

Located at the base of lift 4 the Bavarian is popular for lunches on the deck. Don't have too much goulash or beer or you might not make it back up the mountain! At dinner the restaurant will send a SUV to pick you up at your house or hotel. The restaurant is decorated to feel like an authentic German... More

Lunched outside on a sunny winter ski day and it was decadent. Loved the fresh hot pretzel, next time will get it with the special Camembert dip. Share the spaetzel with a friend, it's huge.

My wife & I thought the Bavarian would be a great place for dinner. The prices are high but the location and ambience seemed perfect. The food met all our expectations but after initially getting wine & salads we were basically ignored. Our waitress seemed far more interested in the large group that came in after us. Other tables were... More
