We had a very pleasant surprise this week as we discovered La Salamandra. The staff was very welcoming and the service was good. They advised of how long our meal would take to prepare. They make all fro scratch mostly. The food was ever so good ! Wide variety on the menu . We will for sure go back.

We enjoyed and evening with friends but, despite the great attention and service, I left feeling a little down. The sopa Aztec was large but lukewarm and not the best I have ever had. My coconut shrimp was a mistake, too much batter, too much coconut and way too dry to be fit to eat. My friends liked it better... More

We enjoy eating here two or three times a year while we are living in Melaque. We have found it to be consistently good. The food and service is a treat and the ambiance of an outdoor court yard with trees, plants and a pool that is lit up with indirect lighting. The only thing that bothers us is that... More

Great food, Sunday brunch, a little higher priced but worth it. Walk in the door and enjoy a complimentary shot of tequila, Yum..

The restaurant is beautiful and the food is very good. They have love music most nights, including Elvis! Drawbacks are that they can be very busy and there can be mosquitoes.

Excellent menu. The coconut shrimp seem to be go to item (5 of 10 at our table ordered the shrimp) but all of the food is and the service is also excellent. Get there early though. Once the restaurant fills up as it usually does, the food takes a little longer to get but the margaritas make the time fly... More

Always have a meal here when we are in the area! The shrimp choices are all wonderful...fresh and delicious! Drinks are generous...especially during the early happy hour.

Excellent menu. Good choices. Big drinks. Very friendly staff. Out of the way a bit, but worth the effort to get there. Went on Elvis night. Man, can he sing.

This is always a must stop dining experience every time we go to the area. We took a cab from Barra, which was not expensive, and it is worth the trip. Great ambiance, food and entertainment. Can't wait to return again next year.

Only open Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00 except for Sunday brunch, they make it up with a high quality experience in a lovely atmosphere. Search it out, it is well worth. You would pay twice as much if this were in Manzanillo.
