Excellent evening meal. Service was very good and responsive - food was brilliant - loved the special - grilled lobster - and enjoyed the dram of the week.

Food was overpriced for what it was and was horrified at the 12.5 percent service charge over an above the expensive food ! If I want to tip I will tip ! £43 for a lunch for two without any alcoholic drinks was ridiculous. Even...worse Burger bun was burnt to a crisp! Will not be back in a rush ! Only positive was Server was lovely!More

Hyped, and underwhelming: acceptable food, but lacking flair. Friendly but amateurish service. Overpriced for sure.

The staff were charming despite being very busy. Our meal was delicious; a very tasty risotto and perfectly cooked cod. The side salad was ridiculously expensive at £7.00 for a bowl of lettuce leaves. I had a partridge starter for less in another Speyside establishment....Despite that we had a super evening .More

Hear the shift manager say ‘F—k’ under his breath just after we sat down was not great! Most starters were £12-14 which seemed steep. I had a burger for my main and was astonished that an apparently upmarket restaurant serving steaks and burgers did not...offer onion rings. Dogs in a restaurant for evening dining was also off putting. I’d expect them in an average pub but not when trying to have a romantic dinner. All in all I was very disappointed and feel unable to recommend this place.More

We found the place by accident while on a walk– and what a great find! There were four of us and we went twice. Everything on the menu was simple but carefully prepared and served with proper attention to detail. YUM. We liked the simple...but stylish decor too, and the spotless bathrooms. Nice staff, excellent service. Heartily recommend.More

I’ve eaten in some amazing top Michelin star restaurants but this has to be one of the best and it’s a pub/hotel. Not only is the food super tasty but well presented & served by lovely staff. Chef came out, chatted to us & even...gave us a little tour of the whiskey bar. If ever up in Speyside this a must place to eat at. Book in advance as gets booked super quick. Thank you Copper Dog for a wonderful experience of Scotland.More

We had our wedding anniversary dinner here. Came recommended from our B & B and lived up to expectation. Food and service were top notch and we only had a short walk back afterwards. Thanks for looking after us so well.

We turned up at lunchtime to book for dinner but it was fully booked. Instead, we were invited, by the friendly and very helpful staff, to join a group who were taking part in an exercise to scope serving an outdoor menu. We were given...free Lossiemouth dressed crab and a burger, the beef for which was sourced locally, as well as free drinks. The crab was dressed by the pub staff and was the best crab we have ever had - the use of orange, chives, shallots and butter was inspired. The burger, too, was the best we've ever had - and we've had a fair few pub burgers. Perfectly cooked outdoors and beautifully presented, with salad and potato wedges, it was sublime. We were also offered a dram of the Copper Dog whisky to try. All the staff were so friendly and lovely and made us feel very welcome. It felt like a huge privilege to be part of the scoping exercise and we so hope the venture is a success. If the rest of the food is anywhere close to what we were given, it would be really very good indeed.More

Have eaten here twice in the last month for lunch. First time was with friends visiting. Second with visiting family so wanted to impress. Food is fantastic with a decent choice of food. Not cheap but paying for quality. The haggis Bon bons starter was...so good we even had extra portions brought out with our mains. The service was superb. Really chatty waitress and overseen by someone senior. Happy vibe presented. What I was particularly impressed with was a visit from the chef during and after our food. I understand now he is the manager. He was interested in knowing how our food was and if he could do anything else for us. We have dined in some top restaurants around the country and when a chef cares so much about his customers that he takes the time and effort to chat to his diners that for me is the difference between a great restaurant and the next level up. Additionally we’ve received a pleasant email inviting us back and thanking us for our custom. As I previously mentioned we’ve been here twice and it was just as good second time around. No fluke !!This is a restaurant that cares about its customers. In summary good location, great food and first class customer service. Look forward to dining with you again soon.More

Yes dogs are welcome here. I’m sure it divides opinion though as others might not be comfortable with it.
