Regular haunt for those local and not so local. Excellant food at very reasonable prices. Book early as always busy.

We were spoilt for choice of both ale, wine, and food. We visit twice a year when visiting a nearby friend, and enjoy the "local pub" atmosphere. The Whip is a rare pub, because it also produces good, well-presented food. I often go for the Peasant Salad as a gluten-free option and was not disappointed this time around. My colleagues... More

A great busy and lively pub for real ales not to be missed. The meals we had were great and tasty. The only let down was the table and plate presentation, along with the fact we had to go up to the bar to order food and collect drinks, that looses a couple of stars.

Stopped in on the way past for a drink with a friend. Despite it being busy we were served almost instantly and had a choice of where to sit. The staff were friendly and engaging. The food on offer sounded great, and I've been recommended to go back. Apparently it's well worth it.

Lovely beer garden full of flowers over looking a windmill. We shared whitebait which was delicious with plenty of bread and butter, piping hot. My husband had the Whip burger and I had the lamb burger from the special menu. Both were delicious with a pile of chips and a decent side salad as opposed to the token leaf you... More

If you're looking for a pub which serves great 'pub food' then the Whip's a good start. With a lovely garden and great service is a lovely place for Sunday roast or an evening meal. :)

After visiting friends, they took us to The Whip for Sunday Lunch. Don't know about previous reviewer, but I also had the roast beef and it was delicious. Veg was cooked to perfection - and portion size very generous. I enjoyed the whole meal and would certainly recommend it. We did book in advance, don't know if you could call... More
