Typically, vilage restaurants tend to offer good atmosphere an good local and typical food. This restaurant is a food example. Good food and drinks. Very good service. Huge dishes. Never before I had TARTAT of 350gr. Super fresh and tasty. Spare ribs dish would satisfy...2 people easily. If you are on the way, or at Halle, go there.More

Visited the restaurant with some friends. If you are searching for typical Belgian food, certainly try this restaurant out. The interior may look old, but this has no effect on the excellent food served here. Very nice and friendly service, lot of choices. We had...a special menu around 10/05 (Mother's Day). Adapted menu for the kids. If you want to drink wine, always ask for some suggestions.More

Nice place, very very very good service. The first dishes are very tasty, even delicious. The main dish ww had, the entrecôte, is generously served, but the meast is of average quality. The sauces are not excellent (the béarnaise with a bit too much vinegar,...the green peper sauce not really well seasoned). The proposed wine card is very good and reasonably priced. The check is a bit too expensive for what you get, but the restaurant is certainly correct. Probably the typical Belgian dishes on the card, which a very reasonably priced, make a better choice not only for their cost but also for their taste.More

I can highly recommend this place if you are looking for a real typical Belgian restaurant. A true no-nonsense place with good (Belgian) food quality, cute cosy and nice environment with integrated typical pub bar and a very good service.

We came to have dinner and by mistake made a reservation for the following day. The place was packed but the personnel didn't wait one second before they offered us a table, that was super cool. I also thought one should speak English rather than...French in this restaurant since we were in Halle, Vlanders...but then I heard most of the people spoke French, the waiters communicated equally well in French as in English. We had burgers and they were excellent, abundant too. I must admit I noticed several other dishes that were carried by the waiters near me (I know this may be rude, but what can I say, I was curious) and I can say that everything I saw looked superb. The gastro pub also offers a nice variety of interesting local beers. When we were leaving the restaurant, right there, in front of the restaurant, we noticed the two signs, one welcoming us to Valonnie and the other, saying goodbye from Vlanders...so we laughed, that explained few things! So, highly recommendable cozy, friendly place!More

Friendly and efficient service. food well prepared;, and portions are rather big. We had aspargus as a starter and they were very well prepared.prices are reasonable and a lot of choice on the menu card. It can be rather hot in summer time I guess,...and it is a pity that the terrace is situated at the street side which is very busy with lot of traffic. Price of wine also reasonable. All in all a good choice for a good meal at a good price in not the most fancy restaurant ; but we will be back becausr of quality of food and friendly and good service..More

We went for lunch with a group of 50 senior citizens. We had agreed upon a menu with 2 types of "croquettes" (shrimp and cheese) as appetizer, a main dish (each member of the group had a choice between either frites with filet américain or...frites with "stoofvlees") and desert (dame blanche). Because it is a rather small restaurant and because we had still other visits to make in the afternoon, we were somewhat concerned about the service. However the patron had hired some extra personnel and they were very efficient so that we could maintain our schedule for the rest of the day. All members of our group were very satisfied with the quality of the food and the kindness of the waiters. To be recommendeMore

Good food, good service, nothing fancy but excellent value for money. The meat is of a very high quality, the food is well prepared and there is plenty of it, the service is efficient and comes with a smile and the prices are reasonable. Excellent...family restaurant. We were there in the evening on a weekday, and had a delicious meal. Would definitely return.More
