This restaurant is mostly for enjoying the decor and for later night meals as the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm while other places in the Demanovska Dolina stop serving meals around 8 pm. The meal was good but rather on the pricey side as opposed to the quality. The menu is huge. Not everything was marked properly. The cabbage soup turned full of sausage which I didn't expect. I think a veggie person would get a heart attack seeing all the pork meat. Staff was nice and quite fast but the restaurant was closing at 10 pm-ish, by shutting the lights and asking everyone to leave and go to the downstairs bar which was a bit iffy. On the plus side, the restaurant takes credit and debit cards, but the same building/shared staff downstairs bar surprisingly takes only cash which caused us some issues.

Visited this place twice. Delicious local and international food and beers, perfect service and environment .. great experience for any tourist. Would definitely recommend chicken soup, borshch, gulash, blacksmith skillet, blueberry vareniki, local chocolate mousse. Would come back to try the rest of the menu! Thank You!

IF you look for local food it is ok. However some dishes exceedingly greasy (and truly some oil used was ekhmm). Anyway service great and one can even ask for something off the menu. Nice selection of wines (try Slovak ones!)

Very poor food quality, potatos chewy, no vegetables side dish, simple and overpriced. Although very good location, food is not worth the price

This place so amazing and so authentic. Decorated in traditional Slovak/European country style, it felt so cozy and romantic. Reminded me of the Swiss stube style restaurants, but about 10x cheaper and just as yummy. Food was great and very affordable. We just loved this place and would eat here everyday trying something new everytime. Never once wanted to go elsewhere.

This restaurant is excellent! Starts with the atmosphere and the rustic décor. The staff is very attentive, quick and polite. The were so many different choices, very diverse menu. From local, traditional Slovakian dishes to more upscale, modern plates. We ate here almost everyday for a week and didn't get bored! Still missing some of these tastes...

Food so good should not be illegal especially at these laughable costs!! ;) just kidding!! It's awesome! I love the ambiance on this place! Super authentic and romantic! Food was delicious, fresh with tons of healthy options. I loved their citrus lemonade, you gotta try it!

I decided not to go for roasted goose with apples and cabbage or roasted piglet but for something simple and local. And I did not regret my choice, although I admit I am tempted to come back to try these special dishes (probably after fasting for at least a week) My lovely dinner was an excellent mushroom julien ( mushrooms collected in the woods around the hotel) followed by traditional Slovak garlic soup and fried cheese with grilled vegetables. I enjoyed the novel flavor of clear (not creamy) garlic soup. Crisp fried cheese was delightful so was the wine. Thank you

We used this restaurant for our lunches in the middle of skiing days several times during the past week. There is a good menu of local specialities - we would particularly recommend the Blacksmith’s Lunch and the various types of dumplings. The portions are filling, sometimes to the point of being overwhelming. There are other restaurants on the slopes which are more haute cuisine but if you want good local food this is the place to go. Prices quite reasonable by ski slope standards.

There is nothing to rival this place in Biela Put, this part of Demänovská Dolina. And probably there is nothing to rival this place in the whole Demänovská Dolina village. I read other reviews, and I agree that this restaurant is probably much more expensive than others in the area. However, I think it's worth the money. I also saw bad reviews of waiters. Not sure about that, but during our one-wee stay, they were truly amazing, prompt, polite, nice, professional. Moreover, the atmosphere here is amazing. A warm place, rustically decorated, right on the ski slope, all you want during the winter time. I am sorry for not finding anything bad here. They deserve this review.

Do you ever watch those restaurant shows like Kitchen nightmares? Well I bet this one should be on it! I don’t think anything here is made to order, at least none of our dishes were. Most likely the food is prepared day or two in advance and then reheated in the microwave. Food looks old and tastes horrible, just as bad as it looks.

Nice restaurant with cozy atmosphere, and relatively good food. In the middle of the tourist center, easy to reach either by car or by walk. Close to main tourist attractions such as Demianovska cave and on the way to the mountain.

We opted for a goulash which was quite ok, but not a big portion for 6.90€. Two potato dumplings cost 3€ which is a big shame. Simple tea costs 2€. These prices would suggest something special but the food is basic and we went there only because it is a large restaurant - no problem finding a free table and it is right on the slope. Well, the best part was the apple pie but it didn’t have the power to change my opinion.

We stayed in this hotel for a week of spa and ski time. So, we spent quite a lot of time in this restaurant. By the end of the week, we learned the menu by heart. We managed to also check some other restaurants in the area and compared to all we had, I think this is probably the best choice for local food. They cook everything very well. The menu, of course, is heavy on meat, but that is a characteristic of the Slovak cuisine. The few vegetarian dishes on offer are a couple of soups, a mushroom-based starter and one or two salads. Some of the staff might seem rude at the beginning, but as I speak Czech, and thus managed to communicate easily, we got along with every waiter and waitress here throughout the week. They were all obliging, polite, nice, helpful. Some of them might seem too abrupt or rude simply because they don't handle English well. That being said, the management should definitely put more time into training some of the staff more to avoid some of the negative reviews I saw here previously. We so much enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and the beautiful vista in front of the restaurant. The resto is part of a bigger spa and wellness complex that is located right on one of the town's ski slopes, Biela Put. So, while you eat during the daytime, you will see continuously skiers passing by. The resto is also one of the best options for skiers to stop by for a drink and a quick lunch. There are some other places on the slopes that offer good local food, but in this area, this is probably the best in terms of quality. Prices are a bit higher than in other local restaurants, but not much. Of course, you can get much cheaper dishes in some of the local bistros, but at the end of the day, this is a four-star hotel where you get much higher quality. For western standards, it is still a great deal in terms of quality for price. Overall, a great experience: one of the not-to-miss eateries in the area for sure.
