Ristorante pizzeria da Franco is a must visit place if you are touring Lecce and Salento in general. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the waiters are very accommodating and friendly and always attentive to make sure you have the best experience. The owners are...also approachable and have extensive knowledge in terms of the typical local cuisine. There is just one word to describe the food.. AMAZING!!! There is a variety of choices ranging from fresh seafood to other local dishes. I will definitely come back for more.More

We had a very good lunch here. The staff was very friendly and helpful sharing advices regarding the food and drinks. Additionally the hot pepper in olive oil with bread was great to try. The liquor San Marzano Borsci on the "spumone" dessert was also...a great advice. I recommend the restaurant for lunch and dinner.More

In the center of town. Nobody speaks French or English but it does not matter. The food is genuine and the service pleasant. We arrived at 8pm and it got really busy at 9.

We ate at Franco's restaurant on two occasions. First evening (Friday) restaurant was very busy with large tables of diners and local family celebrations, we pre-booked our table. Waiter promptly served us, we had Linguine al Ricci (sea urchins) to start followed by fillet steaks...with mushroom sauce, a mixed salad, mixed fresh fruit desert, glass of Nergroamara red and nice Chardonnay. The food was lovely, freshly prepared and tasty. Great attentive waiter who even though very, very busy, looked after us very well with a smile. Second visit restaurant was less busy (Tuesday evening) we chose Anti Pasti meats selection to share, then both decided on a Pizza as we don't normally eat them at home. Diavolo and Quatro Stagione and a mixed salad. For dessert we had panna cotta fruita da bosco to share. Nergroamara red wine. All our food was again freshly cooked and well presented.More

We were new to this area and in an off the main area resort. We were driving and passed da Franco and decided to give it a try. Happy we did the food was very good and the gentleman who served us was excellent. He...was friendly and did not have our lack of Italian bother him. Their pizza was excellent plenty of toppings which my wife selected. This is a bigger place and it was getting crowded as we finished. The prices are reasonable a good value.More

Popped on recommendation to avoid tourist traps. It was the first night of August festi weekend, so the town was lit up. The pizza was the real deal. Loved the ambience and general down to earth nature. Also reasonably priced. Good all round.

We went to da Franco's for lunchtime pizza, only to learn that they wait until the evening to fire up the wood-fire pizza stove. Not to worry, there was a wide variety of Pugliese tastes to sample. We had mixed seafoods, pastas, and fillets, not...to mention plenty of side vegetables. The food was delicious and the waitstaff were very friendly. We would love to return if in the area again.More

A wonderful meal in the interesting old center of Levarano. Don't miss the antipasto buffet. Authentic Salento food.

We had dinner once and found the quality of the food not excellent. It's a very popular restaurant, average service and too crowded.
