Fantastic pub with wonderful food and great service with a wide range of drinks including many locally sourced. A large dinning area allows for a good number of tables and the large garden caters further. The garden also has a large teepee tent with fire...which is where we sat. The fish and chips are amazing and the burgers are also very good. You can’t leave without trying the pork and miso starter, it literally melts in the mouth. We’ve been before and will certainly come again.More

I was there for a lunch in the garden with friends on a lovely sunlit day and were brilliantly looked after by the team who were running the garden. Good Westerham beer, friendly dogs, however the food was generally agreed by the team to be...just ok rather than as we remembered pre lockdown. Perhaps a one off.More

Decidedly poor. No fresh vegetables roast potatoes literally burnt to a cinder. Staff seemed plentiful but had to 'hail one down to order food. Expensive. pretentious and very poor food. Will not be back.

We used to frequent The Carpenters Arms pre covid, while it was a cosy little place in winter their bitters and ales were very limited. In summer the garden was a great place to have a drink after a walk. Last week was our first...return and we were very impressed by the updated drinks and food menu. We sat outside and the service was quite quick and the servers were polite and friendly. We ordered small plates and we cannot stop thinking about the pork belly bites - delicious! So happy that the owners have taken the chance to add variety to their offerings and the big tent out in the garden is a fab idea it's very eye-catching.More

Visited with friends for catch up lunch . One of us is undergoing cancer treatment so we made sure booked outside in shade for 1 o’clock . Menu on website looked nice with lovely salad and sandwiches. Arrived to be given a menu that wasn’t...remotely similar told no sandwiches at lunchtime and no salads . Asked about one on menu waitress went off and reported not available. The weather was so hot abd we certainly didn’t want a huge fish a s chop meal at £16.. so we asked if chef could rustle up maybe 4 salads using the side salad on offer and perhaps add hulumi or feta ? Waitress said after a couple trips that would be fine . By 230 we still had no food ! Finally after much chasing 4 salads arrived .. definitely nothing special but food at least . The waitress was lovely and attentive and nothing was too much trouble but honestly a chef that can’t imagine a salad in under an hour and half leaves you wondering what skills they actually have tbh . I’ve eaten here loads and food was so bad today it really spoilt it for us all . No offer of reduced bill either as they knew we had been mucked around ages . Seems the pub is just out to sell the high price food not the nice pub grub they were known for :(More

This pub/restaurant has transformed from when I was there a year ago. The garden has a teepee in the garden which is magnificent. My lunch of halibut was 5 stars. Beautifully laid out on the plate and mouth wateringly delicious. The staff were friendly and...efficient. Thoroughly recommend this country pub.More

My wife and I recently went for supper, just to celebrate being able to eat out! We were so surprised by how superb the food was! Delicious halibut, soup, padron peppers and slow cooked pork bites, all cooked perfectly. And then great local beer from...Westerham brewery of course. And in a beautiful setting. Thank youMore

We had a gorgeous 3 course meal and bottle of wine in here last Friday evening. Everything was very tasty, and beautifully served. The service was fantastic! Will visit again soon and would definitely recommend.

We are new to this place and visited purely because of the great dog walks nearby. Really enjoyed the woods & fish & chips the first time so came back s few weeks later. This time, had the duck which was also delicious.Oh & the...black coconut ice cream. Easy parking which is free and plenty of garden space but most important for us, it's dog friendly. We'll be back.More
