What a place. How did I go so long without visiting even though I live fairly close by? Location, atmosphere and service all spot on, and most importantly the food itself was outstanding. One of those menus that you wantef to choose pretty much everything...from. Will be back soon. Five stars all the way.More

Eight of us visited this lovely pub located in stunning countryside for Sunday lunch to celebrate a couple of family birthdays. There was lots to choose from on the menus (including an excellent Vegan menu) as well as several different roasts. All the food was...absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. The staff were wonderful - really helpful, friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back!!More

I was part of a group of seven who visited The Grumpy Mole for lunch on a Saturday. The food was first class and the waiting staff exceptional (they really couldn't have been more helpful). I am already looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely menu, we all chose different dishes and all were of exceptional standard. Just spent a week in France and not one of our meals out were as good as this. The puddings were as puddings used to be before people got lazy! Don't miss...the meringue.More

Decided to visit based on Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The staff were all so warm and welcoming from start to finish. The menu is very extensive and nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. We all had a hard time...choosing and none of us were disappointed in our choice. The quality of food is outstanding as is the service. We cannot wait to return but I do recommend booking as this place looks like it is always busy inside and out and you don't want to be disappointed, trust me! Enjoy.More

What a find! We were visiting Chartwell so searched in advance for local pubs. So glad we found this place. Booked in advance just in case. Car park is a bit small so might get tricky on busy days. This is a lovely pub in...an old building with a contemporary decor that doesn't spoil the building. All the staff were friendly, polite and professional in their jobs. Service was excellent and friendly throughout. We were not rushed at any stage of the evening. Though we were very much left alone after we had finished our meal and not invited to order more drinks, and in the end we had to chase for our bill! I think this was because they were busy but they could easily have turned our table around. Food was fantastic. The pie was stuffed with steak. Vegetables were well and freshly cooked. Apple strudel and Bread and Butter pudding clearly home made. All our meals were excellent. This place isn't local for us but it will be worth the journey to eat here again.More

Such a disappointing meal this time, over cooked lamb with some chewy cheap tasting chorizo that didn't really belong on the plate. I just told the waitress to say the lamb was very chewy, I had ordered med rare, and it came well done, I...didn't send it back as my partners sea bass had come at the same time so I didn't want to wait to eat once he had finished. The waitress said the chorizo isn't very good so they cut it up small, very strange thing to say, she said the supplier is the same as before covid, that means it's just a chef who can't cook lamb. Such a shame as we won't go back as her attitude was terrible, I wasn't complaining or asking for a discount, I said it was something that should be told to the chef for learning, they have lost a customer over a bad meal and her attitude, all the other waitresses were very pleasant. The manager at the bar seemed very stressed and wasn't interested in small talk or pleasantries when seating us either and ignored us leaving, it'd like a different place since my last visit with family. We won't go back, we have much better meals elsewhere recently and will keep to them.More

As 2 of my family are vegans the menus looked so good as did the majority of the reviews, but the service was so slow and we waited for a short time for menus to arrive and ordered our drinks. We then waited to order...and when the starters ddn't come after 30 minutes was asked the waitress to check and she said she thought we wanted the starters and main course at the same time! The starters finally came and were ok but not worth the money being charged for them. Plates were taken and then another long wait for the food with no offer of further drinks until we asked for then. The vegan burgers were expensive and looked good but my granddaughter and her friend both said they were not as hot as they should have been and did not enjoy them. My panni was good as, but overall the whole experience was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend this resturant/pub and will not be returning.More

Had a lovely meal outside under cover with outdoor heaters. The service was brilliant and food excellent. In fact the whole experience was faultless and we will definitely return when purse strings allow!

Sorry I don’t know, but I suspect not in the restaurant part. They do have outside tables so maybe there. Would recommend calling them to check
