Simply a superb experience from arrival to departure. The setting is eclectic and warm and the food and service are second to none. Everything is carefully, thoughtfully and lovingly prepared by the Statdlander family in their funky farmhouse. Definitely worth the two-hour drive up.

Having been to Eigensinn farms many times and having traveled the world trying many top-rated restaurants I can confidently say one of the best in the world is in our own back yard. Our latest experience was "Trail 25" last weekend. We visited eight stations...set up through the meadows and woods on his farm. I won't spoil the surprise by going into detail of each but in short each was locally sourced mostly from on-farm. Everything was in-season and hours-fresh with exquisite perfectly balanced flavours. The food was prepared in-front of us at each station and served in fun and quirky farm-made dishes and platters. As always you bring your own wine or share with friends. If you love incredible food for food's sake this is an absolute must!More

This is a very special place- it’s a farm, business and their personal home. You’re essentially going to a very private dinner party with about a dozen guests. We had the eight course dinner menu and it was surprisingly delightful. Book months in advance, cash...only.More

We have been to this farm for the 25th anniversary Maple Syrup and Leek Event. It was a beautiful sunny day and the vendors were all amazing, food was so delicious starting with the bone marrow in the bone, Hiro sushi appetizers, wonderful blintzes with...curry, amazing dessert and great Maple tree filtered water. The owners of the farm have such love for what they do and they do it very well. It was fun to be outside and socialize with others, enjoy the fresh air, the smell of fire and great food. If you are adventurous and a foodie, you will enjoy this place. A dinner in the summer is recommended for an 8 course meal. You will love it!More

There is no choice regarding menu. Chef Michael Stadtlander serves whatever is in season or ready for harvest at the time. Most ingredients are from his own farm or neighboring farms. This in not for those with picky eating habits, you get whatever he makes...that day. Usually about 8 courses but ends up being more than that (the charcuterie plate had 10 different items and the dessert plate had three different desserts). All courses are incredibly cooked and artfully presented, not to mention absolutely delicious. They do not have a liquor licence, so you have to bring your own wine. They will send you an idea of the menu a couple of days prior so you can decide on your wines. Exceedingly expensive but worth every penny!More

A must do. Period. World class food, whimsical presentation, and a no-pretended setting. Arrive early to walk the farm. Don't overdo the fresh-baked bread because it's a long dinner.

Drive an hour or so to this restaurant, from the capital city of Toronto and you find yourself in a curious and interesting spot. Eigensinn Farm is a unique and special location indeed. The restaurant hosts 12 guests to a culinary delight. Located on great...deal of land with some "farm to table" animals roaming about, this restaurant is an absolute pleasure and a one time experience. The gracious hosts welcome you into their home as you experience an 8 course tasting menu. As their menu changes often and is seasonally based, one never knows what they will experience, but rest assured every dish is amazing. From fresh vegetables grown on the farm to pork in different ways, to seafood prepared on unique plates a small amuse bouche to start the gastronomical experience, you will not be disappointed. A tour around the property, also provided insight into the restaurant's history, events (which are many) and the inspiration behind each dish prepared. There is a reason why Statlander and is Eigensinn farm was at once one of the top 10 restaurants in the World's Top Ten Best List. "If you can make it there", you will be privy to an amazing gastronomical experience.More

The most creative 5 hrs of eating I have ever experienced! Each station had it's own theme, the food was so refined, textures & flavours danced incredibly together. 1 of a kind "in the world!!"
