Came in here for a beer and ended up staying for a couple of hours. We had whitebait, scallops and cheesy chips, which were the size of jackets! Good value for money and lovely 'ambience'.

Dog friendly pub with plenty of newspapers to read and a friendly atmosphere. We had the pork and lamb roasts. Both were generous sized portions and absolutely delicious. Crispy spuds, a Yorkshire with structural integrity, tender succulent meat and lots of flavoursome veg. Just what was needed after a country walk. Can't fault it. Can't remember how much have it... First & last visit to this pub. Invited to meet with colleagues for a business meeting & a meal. Told they had WiFi, but it did not work - so presentations & meeting abandoned. Room was freezing cold so we sat with our coats on all evening. Shown menu & specials board for evening meal but many of the items... More

Booked a table here for a late Sunday lunch, we were dealt with very efficiently by the staff and were shown to a table in a lovely, bustling room packed with families and couples. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but the landlord came over and apologised and to be honest we weren't in a hurry... More

Had a tasty lunch at The White Horse last Sunday. We got there by 12.15 and it wasn't at all busy and didn't seem to have got too busy by 1.00pm. A good quantity of beef arrived, which had been cooked as requested, rare or medium rare. Unusual for a roast meal. If you are not keen on a pudding... More

I visit the White Horse on a semi-regular basis and know many of the locals and the staff. There are usually 5-6 real ales available (including Harvey's). These are kept in great condition. I can't vouch for the lagers & ciders but I haven't heard my friends complaining. Whether you are looking for Sunday Lunch (often busy) or a traditional... More

A friendly local pub, with a great menu. Its not fancy or a chain pub (thank goodness) just an honest pub serving good grub. Recommend Sunday roast ( book ahead, its busy at the weekend)and the best steak and ale pie. Dog 🐶 friendly too.

Had Sunday Lunch here with friends. The three of us (adults) cleared our plates. It was de-licious. They were extremely busy as so popular so we did have to wait quite a long time but, being with friends, it was a chance to have a good 'catch up'. It was well worth the wait. The slow cooked pulled pork was... More

This is a popular and busy pub/restaurant on Sundays. Good selection of real ales. The beef on Sunday was succulent and plenty of it. Nice but small garden area at rear. Toilets a bit basic. A bit pricey
