Beetles, caterpillars, crickets, and more. The Western world may continue to shy away from it, but insects, otherwise known as creepy crawlies, are consumed by over 2 billion people in over 80 countries around the world. Laos has a long history of insect consumption and the Blue Lagoon in Luang Prabang is a restaurant that is determined to show travellers to the UNESCO world heritage site that insects can be tasty as well as nutritious. Check out my review of eating insects now!!

The first time we visited Kasbah du Toubkal we treated it as a mountain retreat and spent the time relaxing and recuperating in the beautiful oasis. However, located at the foot of North Africa’s highest peak, Kasbah du Toubkal offers more than that, and specialises in trekking trips across Imlil and the Atlas Mountains. To support this, they also have accommodation in the Azzaden Valley, Read my review to see how I spent five days in this beautiful location and what I got up to! x

A short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the Nha Trang beachside, Alpaca Homestyle Cafe is a super cute and inviting space with an outside area filled with leafy green plants and white-painted wicker furniture. The cafe was set up two years ago and due to growing popularity the cafe recently relocated to this area where there’s more space to cater for the growing number of tourists eager to visit the establishment.

During our travels through Vietnam we decided to slow down on the pace and spend a relaxing 5 days in the beach town of Nha Trang. We not only wanted to spend some quality time of the beach, but I’d heard great things about the restaurants in the area and wanted time to explore a good selection. We stayed at Aaron Hotel and found it to be a real gem out of the countless hotels in Nha Trang. Read on to see why this hotel is the pick of the bunch!

I fell in love with Greek food when I visited Kefalonia in 2018 and sampled some of the finest food the beautiful island has to offer. So when I heard that there was a restaurant that was serving up authentic Greek food in Nha Trang I just knew I had to visit. Check out my review here and why it was one of the best places to eat in Nha Trang x

One of my favourite things about travelling around Greece is definitely the food. From souvlaki to gyros I love the simple ingredients and delicious flavours of Greek food. So I decided to learn how to cook some of my favourite dishes at Jenius Social in North London. Check out how I got on here! x

I love exploring the UK and uncovering the wonderful culture, people, and of course, food these great lands have to offer. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to explore more of the UK this Summer, so I headed out to South East Wales to spend a couple of days in its natural beauty and surroundings. Check out my review of the amazing places to visit!

Located in the up and coming trendy District 1 area of Ho Chi Minh City, Qui is an establishment that oozes charm and sophistication, easily being able to blend into the London restaurant scene without skipping a beat. The restaurant is a member of the ‘new wave’ of restaurants and bars quickly cropping up across Vietnam that is attempting to enhance Vietnam’s international reputation as a fine-dining hotspot. The unusually and uniquely named B Samcook Home 16 is located just outside the Old City and is a family owned restaurant that has been operating for just over two years under the highly talented Chef Boy. His food is both refreshing and daring as he tried to elevate the cuisine of Northern Thai to a higher plane of culinary finesse. Read my full review here. One of my favourite places in Thailand was Chiang Mai, located in the North of Thailand. I loved the relaxed vibe, the friendly locals, the large range of cafes to chill/work in, and of course the amazing local food! One thing that contributed to my love of Chiang Mai was the beautiful hotel we stayed in. The Bodhi Serene is a gorgeous boutique hotel that derives its name from the Bodhi Tree that grew on the premises. Read my review to find out why you should stay here x

Luxury Bangkok City Guide: Eat and Sleep in Style Welcome to Bangkok! I started my 6 week adventure around Thailand, Laos and Vietnam in this buzzing Thai capital city for many reasons. For one, Bangkok is the cheapest place for return flights from London, but aside from that, this sprawling city is brimming full of beautiful temples and palaces to visit, luxury hotels to stay in and, of course, some of the best restaurants in the world. Happy reading and travelling! X
